Matteo

It's been 2 days and Bella hasn't woken up yet and l spent these last 2 days here with her l only go home to change and come back to her ,l hate that my other children have hardly saw me these last 2 day but they are grown ups they'll understand once l tell them

I was busy with my paperwork when l noticed Bella moving and l moved beside her and touched her hand but she flinched and moved away from me

Rosabella:who are you

Me:you fainted and l brought you here

Rosabella:ohh am sorry but l have to go

Me: you're not going anywhere Bella

When l said her name she seemed taken aback and she started panicking

Me:l guess you're wondering how I know your name well it's because am your father

Rosabella:so they were right,l l am illegitimate

When she said that my heart broke for my baby girl she seemed so broken but l was going to fix her even if it's the last thing l do

So l explained the situation to her and she seemed so understanding and she didn't interrupt me and after that l waited for her reaction

Rosabella:did you hurt her because she wasn't yours

Me:no Bella l would never hurt a child no matter who her parents are

Rosabella:Daddy

I was in awe when she leaned forward and gave me a hug

Rosabella: please don't send me back to them l promise l'll be good

She looked at me with pained eyes,she was so sad so l whispered sweet nothings in her ear until she fell asleep and l joined her in bed and wrapped my arms around her tiny figure and fell asleep with her

When papa surprised me when he hugged me l felt so happy but he didn't say a word and he hardly comes home these past two days

Me and my brothers and cousins noticed that our parents were acting really strange today so we decided to confront them and we found all of them in papa's office except papa wasn't there with them and when we entered they all stopped talking until my eldest brother broke the silence

Elonzo:is papa cheating on mama is that why he hasn't been home in two days

Mom(Selena): what what are you guys talking about

Mother has always been oblivious to papa's mistakes but l guess it's better that way because l wonder what would happen if they divorced mother doesn't have a cent to her name and l wouldn't want to be in her custody because am not sure if papa would keep me in his

Xavier:come on mom we all know you guys don't love each other anymore

Grandfather:you guys don't know what you are talking about

Alexander: enlighten us grandpa you're just protecting that cheating son of yours

Uncle Massimo: enough Alex you're talking about your father here

Elonzo:our father the man hates his only daughter grandpa we've all been quiet but we are not stupid and he hates her because she doesn't look like him we all know that's crazy

Mother (Selena):that's enough now your father doesn't hate your sister

Elijah:do you really believe that mom l You're either ignorant or stupid

Uncle Lorenzo:watch how you talk to your mother Elijah

Me:well we all know mommy can't see anything wrong with her husband and l agree with Eli

Mother (Selena):you wanna know why your father hates your sister right then l'll tell you

Aunt Lexi: Selena this is not the time nor the place

Me:and who are you to interfere in our family business

When l said that the entire family went quiet because they all live in a fantasy that we are one big family but l always hated that because papa loved my cousins more than me because they were always around us

Aunt Maria:well l think you should go ahead and tell the kid the truth she desperately wants

I knew she was taunting me but l could hardly care less because l never liked my aunts anyway

Mother (Selena): Alexa baby am sorry to say this but you are not a De Luca nor are you my daughter you were exchanged at birth

When she said that l stared at her in disbelief then l fainted
