Chapter 1 - family fude

Dipper POV.

"Mabel watch out."

                         I warned my sister before she could trip on a protruding tree root. She looks down then crosses over it she then turned back and smiled a little,

"Thanks, I guess."

                         I and Mabel were currently out monster huntingtin the forest. Gravityfalls recently became our permanent how when we moved in with our grunkels this summer. Mom and dad told us if we really wanted to move then we could do it when we turn 18. We had eventually come to an agreement on 17 since our birthday would be at the end of our annual summer stay here. Grunkel Ford gave me a moving in present which was my own personal journal to fill. So the past few days me and Mabel have been out monster hunting and exploring, tough something felt off with her since yesterday.

                          Before I could start to overthink Mabel parted a bush in front of us revealing a clearing. We didn't believe our eyes as we gazed at a certain stone statue in the middle of the clearing. It was the Dorito that caused us so many problems all those years ago.

                          I walked closer in disbelieve thinking my eyes must be playing tricks on me. But as I got closer, an invisible force seemed to be drawing me in. I eye the outstretched hand of the statue slowly raising mine to stretch out and reach for it,

"DIPPER!!!"

                          I snapped out of it blinking blankly, realizing the situation I quickly retracted my hand jumping back. Mabel breathe out a heavy shaky breath, turning around I saw that her hand was on her chest clutching her top with a relieved look on her face,

"That scared me."

                          Scratching the back of my head I nervously smiled,

"S-sorry, I didn't mea- wow!"

                          The ground suddenly shock and Mabel was knocked to the ground, the sky rumbled and darkened a loud bang was heard. Mabel and I looked up at the sky a horrified look on our faces as a tear formed. We both froze in fear as the fearamid descended through it.

                          I watched as the hench-maniacs swarmed the sky hovering around the fearamid laying in waiting,

"Di-Dipper am in seeing things or-"

"Yeah, I see it to"

                          Before I knew what was happening, Mabel jumped up off the ground grabbing me by my wrist, and ran as if her life depended on it in direction of the shack. As we approached the shack Stanly grabbed the both of us pulling us inside and into a hug. He let go when Ford walked in from outside with unicorn hair that he had used to set up the barrier.

                           We frantically discussed the situation and the possibility of what could have happened when I jokingly said,

"Maybe Mabel gave another power-hungry demon a rift."

                           For some reason, Mabel didn't seem to like my jock, which was understandable but what she said in reply angered me as well,

"Me, me, why does it have to be me. Your the one always causing problems!"

"What! Why are you blaming me, I wasn't the one that gave a frigin deamon the rift and caused the first weirdmigedon!"

"Well, maybe I wouldn't have given it to him if my brother wasn't going to leave me all alone!" 

"Oh, you wanna play that game I can pay to, Who was the selfish one again? Weren't you the one that caused the mess and I had to fix it while half the time you were in Lala land all cosey."

"I wasn't the first one or only one to make a deal either!"

                           My anger boiled over and without thinking the words poured out,

"You're avoiding the problem, that's you! Your selfish and conceited one, only caring for yourself, the world has to revolve around you! All you think about is what you wanted and that's the problem, It was always the problem! It probably would have been better if I was born an only child!!" 

                            The echoes of my harsh word rang threw the silent shack and I watched as my sisters' eyes filled with tears. It was then that I realized the extremity if what I had said and guilt welled up inside me. Before I could even think about apologizing Mabel's eyes darkened as she stared into my soul her voice turning cold and dangerous  as she spoke in a low tone that stabbed me in my chest,

"You know, I really do hate you."

                             My breath hitched and my heart aked and before the tears could come I turned around and ran out the shack and into the forest without thinking. As I ran the tears trickled down my face blurring my vision I furiously wiped them away then tripped on something and tumbled through the bushes. Rubbing my head I looked around it was the same clearing as earlier I probably tripped on that tree root.

                              I had landed directly in front of bills statue, folding my legs I hunched my shoulders and looked down at the ground. I really couldn't deal with all this anymore, tears fell onto my lap as I silently cried. When I finally stopped crying I hugging my knees to my chest and  looked at the statue in front of me not bothering to wipe my tears and for some reason, I started to talk to it,

"Why is weidmigedon happening again? Did you have something to do with it?" I paused, "- I'm sorry, I'm just looking to blame my problems on others, I mean obviously you can't be alive... or can you?"

"Of course I am."

                              I wiped my head around to see a blond hair man standing behind me. He was dressed in black dress pants and a shirt that had a white coaler and white cuffs which he folded up. Over that he had on a yellow waistcoat and a back tailcoat, he wore a black hat with a yellow ribbon around it, and in his hand, he held a cane. A confused look formed on my face,

"Who are you?"

                             The man's smile faltered a little just enough that I noticed, in an exaggerated sad voice he pretended to de hurt and dramatically clutched his chest,

"Aaww, I'm surprised you didn't notice but I did get a new look, do you like it?"

                             He turned around a little wait, that voice it can't be-

"Did you guess yet Pinetree."

"B-B-BILL!!!"

when I rewrote the first original chapter it came up to over 2000 words so I divided it into two parts. the only thing that would be the biggest change I will make, other than adding characters of my own, is having dipper actually form a connection or bond with bill before the whole I love you drama.
