Narrator: Sorry for not writing yesterday. I had a checkpoint exam so I was busy. Hopefully, I can maintain my daily schedule in the future but I have my 1st Round tests coming up on the 8th of September, so that is in risk. Anyway, I have decided not to give episode names anymore because I have 0 creativity. With that out of the way, let's get started.

Ash: Huh! What do you mean?
Serena: Remember Professor Oak's summer camp, silly!
Ash suddenly spaced out; memories of the past flooding back to him. Among them were a young 7-year old girl with honey blonde hair. The person who was his best friend throughout the entirety of his stay in Oak's Summer Camp. Suddenly, Ash's mind felt warm, something which he hadn't felt for 2 years. These last 2 years, Ash's mind has always been tense and conflicted, but now there was peace. He was about to flash a smile but then his other memories came back. The memories which had made him cold for all this time. Ash's about-to-form smile was replaced by a cold frown. Without another word, Ash leaves in a hurry.
Serena would've followed him, but did not. She had seen the sudden change of emotions on Ash's face. Ash thought he had stifled them fast enough for no one to see, but he had not expected Serena's eyes to be as sharp as they were.

Serena quietly left the scene as well, with a half-triumphant, half-disappointed feeling while Ash was still dumbfounded by the sudden roller-coaster of emotions he had gone through

The next day at break

Serena once again made her way to Ash's special corridor today. She had bought a bit of extra lunch with her, for a certain someone

Ash: Will you just stop following me?
Serena: No can do
Ash: And why is that
Serena: I have decided that this is now my personal residence. (Wow, Gary's plan is actually working. Never thought that idiot would ever have a plan)
Ash: ............
Serena: Here catch
Ash: Huh, what's this.
Sees a sandwich
Serena: You haven't eaten breakfast or lunch. Have this.
Ash: I am not hungry
Serena: Are you sure about that?
Ash about to reply when

*Flashback to 2 years back*
Lillie: You haven't eaten breakfast or lunch. Have this.
Ash: I am not hungry
Lillie: Are you sure about that?
Ash: ......................

Back to reality
Ash starts to space out but tries to hide it by talking. But as we can guess, Serena notices that.
Ash: I said no
Serena (with concern): You spaced out a bit there. Are you alright?
Ash: I am fine and no, I didn't space out.
Serena: uh-huh. Anyways eat up
Ash: You are not going to stop bothering me till I do, right
Serena: Ding-ding we have a winner
Ash: ..................
Ash: Fine
Ash starts eating.
Ash: Why are you bothering about me so much?
Serena: You know, the way you are bonded to your pokemon and the way you took down those Team Flare grunts. I think a person who can do that is certainly very admirable. And that's why I want to get to know you better.
Ash: ........................

*Flashback to 2 years ago*
Ash: Why are you bothering about me so much?
Lillie: You know, the way you are bonded to your pokemon and the way you took down those Team Skull grunts. I think a person who can do that is certainly very admirable. And that's why I want to get to know you better.

Ash: ...................
Serena: Are you alright?
Ash: I am fine.
Ash finished eating.
Ash: Now I must go
Serena: Oh
Ash: And by the way
Ash: Thanks for the meal.
Serena: ....................

Ash P.O.V.
Why does she remind me so much of her. Why does she remind me so much of her. Why does she fill me with hope. I had given up on hope years ago. But then why......... Was what my parents used to say when I was little true? Were they right? Is there always someone I can trust. Someone who would help me. Someone who would give me hope......

The next period at battle class
Gary: I would like to battle today
Referee: Well then, who would you like to battle.
Gary points to Ash.
Gary: I challenge you to a 3 on 3 battle
