The recalls dissolve as I am tugged back into reality, but they desert something within, loitering in my tenacity, a single tear skids from my orb as I ware it's sprout in zeal, the effect is elating, spurting my cardiac with an adrenaline that doesn't seed my prompt heart thud, like levin in my derma, my orbs unbind, innated anew, time seems to flag as I lour expiry to the Grievers, who cruelly pounce forward with no interest for the boy they had just murdered, ire bouts in my frame as the efficacy gradually inches down my arm and to my hand. I erect disabled as everyone and everything torpids, I drop my weapon and enable my choler to eruct adroitly "STOP!" I dictate in magnified volume, I elevate my right hand and enact the gesture of my idioms, as soon as my hand is in front of me, a peculiar vigor exudes my palm and repels the Grievers back tersely, rooting them to skid all the way back towards the medial of the extensive tract that guides to us, with a coexisting yelp, I cower my hand back and gaze at it, witnessing it quake potently, my optics dilated. "WHAT'S THE SEQUENCE?! COME ON!", Chuck drags me back into reality, I briskly tread backwards to align with the remainder of the Gladers, not goading to turn my heed away from the Grievers, I thud against the barrier that girds the entry that Teresa and Chuck scud to interpret, I glide into the exiguous ingress, almost sliding to the mire that still veneers the rim, I watch as the Grievers dart back to us, tantivy to their prior site, I abide nigh to whoever is alongside to me, which I can't clarify because the luster is utterly locumed by murk. "Six! Four! Eight! Three! You got it?" Minho yells, retiring further "KEEP HOLDING!" Thomas shouts, his input is almost absent within the blaring tumults of Grievers, my acuity actuates to toil as I drive my spear, impacting the ocular of the one before me "PUSH THEM BACK! WHEN THE DOORS CLOSE THEY WILL GET CRUSHED!" I call at all of them, Thomas rallies a bit, I smile subtly, but my smile dims when Newt plunges his spear, the Griever he essayed to clout, evades his strike just as he propels and snares the timber, amok, Newt writhes, gaining it's liberty. Only to forfeit a lump and for him to skid to the floor, he gawks at the torn end of his stake, alarm anting in his brunette orbs, in the point of his stupor and prone, a Griever essays to leap for him "NEWT!" I clamor as I swing my spear, smacking the Griever in the facet and sliting at it's cheek, I swing again and force it back, further under the doors "ALMOST THERE! COME ON!" I yell, in my peripheral vision, I espy Newt pose beside me, primed to guard, I descry a trivial shift in the partitions girding us. A sonorous groan effuses from basal gate jolting, radixing the Grievers to pivot around in muddle, their cognizance is dawned upon them tardily, the opening door bangs shut, confining us inside, then the next trails, executing the sequence, pulping a Griever with it's deed, one still abides, barreling forward in it's final strife to murder, hindering the inevitable, Thomas yells as he flings his spear, lobing it into the ocular of the sole Griever, it cries out in throe and reels back to the vigor, the gate rams down on it, flattening it brutally. Virescent gore and it's legs are all the endure, plashing across the pellet, bloting it, we all huff in solace, finally able to pluck our zephyr "nice throw" I homage Thomas, he smiles a bit at me, but before any other idioms are bartered, the hole of the mouth is blocked off, sourcing us all to scream in alarm, I botch around in the gloom, seeking anxiously for a bind to reality, I encounter my hand against another "love, is that you?" The keeper inquires, I smile, pallying the utter, Newt "it would be weird if it was Minho" I quip feebly. His chortle cordials my soul, but it doesn't sound right, it sounds controlled and timid, tense even, his hand, however doesn't amend it's corollary on me as he twines his fingers around mine and mildly tugs me to his side, flutters erupt on my frame, but a clank sounds in the reticence and a brazing glare slinks into the ink of visionless, my orbs alter keenly as what appears to be a door jars a bit, granting us illumination, revealing the glance of an egress, we all erect there for a stage, dither, musing who will be the foremost to step beyond that gate. Teresa lightly prods the door, begeting it to demur, groaning to it's activity, she treads out, disjoining the door, but not fully, we all trail her, chary and keen when gaiting out of the door, instantly upon regarding me, Chuck darts over, enfolding me firmly, I enclose him, smiling in repose to his unhurt condition, he smiles up at me, but I survey our vicinity, a sole taper imparts bolster while tenebrosity conceals the extremities of the hallway, both behind us and ahead us, fencing us from both sides, coercing us to progress, cables web like betels across the barriers. Broad with thrive, I gape at the effigy, abreast with it, it appears to be the analogous corridor that I had envisioned my closing night in the Glade, as if aware of my angst, Chuck detaches, I timidly hoist my hand and adroitly rest my tips upon the exterior, instantly an depiction of Newt bolts across my mentality, I huff, flinching my hand, Newt brisks over as Chuck gazes at me in disturb "you alright, love?" Newt probes, disquiet too "yeah, I'm fine" I fib, quivering mentally, before he can respond, the beacons ray down upon us, dispeling the tenebrosity, animating in utopian sequence.
