it was the night before christmas

we were in a backyard

his tan was shining on the pool light

he was the greatest statue i've ever watched

i told him about little monsters in my head

he said keep calm and sunny side up

but i couldn't say that i killed my sun

he wanted me to swear on god i will cheer up

i giggled and smiled up

there was a loop on my neck and silence in my head
