Hi!:) I'm aklanon so some of the words and titles in the chapters prior and subsequent to this are in my dialect so forgive me. I just want to give a little twist to my story. Besides, I like it that way. It becomes more personal.
It's been ages since I've updated. That's primarily because I had to prepare for my exams which has ended a month ago for my graduation. Now that I've achieved what I wanted, I'm faced with a dilemma more than what I could handle. So dear readers, kindly do me a big favor and whisper me a prayer to our Almighty GOD that I may surpass my impending "ordeal". Thank you.
Will include translations at the end of every chapter from here on in.

"Tik.tik.tik.tik.tik.tik.tik.tik." The old woman sounded, something I have never heard before. A cross between a hissing sound to a quick growl of an animal but repetitively.
"Sa imo pamatyag makasakit do imong ginabuytan ngaron kang?" (Do you think that stick you're holding could hurt me?) She exclaimed.

A low guttering laugh followed.

How come you know my name?I don't understand you! What are you talking about? Stay back!! I screamed.

Hhmmmm.. Manami ikaw nga pagkaon. (You are an appetizing meal) Hihihihihihihihi.. She menacingly retorted. Tik.tik.tik.tik.tik.tik.tik.tik.

She made the sound again like an animal ready to pounce on its prey. The sounds she made were the sounds of the hovering thing that's been following me awhile ago. Fear struck me. Terrifying and alarming thoughts ran through my mind.

What is she? What will she do to me? How come she knew my name? Is she what I think she is? A cannibal?!! Then it dawned on me. Clearly, I'm a prey! If she's what I think she is. Oh my freaking shit!

I began to be frantic. Fearful of my life, I began to think of defensive strategies. From things I've been taught to things I've observed through watching television.

Click.

"This is useless. No one will believe me. Who am I kidding? I don't want to relive that moment anymore!" I shouted as my anger rises.

I stood up from where I was seated and turned off the cam coder in front of me.

You know mik, everyone deserves to know. So that people will understand. People will become aware. Sam pointed out.

Alas! She was with me all this time. I almost thought I was alone in this room. During my recordings she would silently sit in a corner and listen as I recounted the events that took place in our lives.

She was the one who insisted on this.
It's been two years sam. No one will understand! Aware? Yes, they will. Then what?! I asked her, turning around to look at her with pain in my eyes.

She returned my gaze with the same pain but didn't reply.
Sensing that I've hurt her, I apologized.

I'm sorry sam. I never meant to offend you. It's just that I am not sure if people will really care and will believe me. In this time and age, no one will. That's for sure. I explained.
