Chapter 3

✿Sairento's P.O.V✿

"Alright then you both have 3 hours to complete your dish,so are you ready?Start!!" Arato-san says and Soma dash to get his ingredients while I calmly walk towards it."What shall I make??" I thought when I saw lemons and chiffon making an idea suddenly come to my mind.

I  grabbed all the needed ingredients before walking to my cooking counter after which I kept the ingredients and immediately preheat the oven.I took a bowl before putting flour,sugar,baking powder and salt then stir it and then set it aside.

I slowly whisked egg yolks,eggs,oil and lemon rind in another bowl .I added lemon juice to enough water then make it 2/3 cup.I then added it to the yolk mixture before stirring it for a while and setting it aside as well.

I then beat the egg whites with an electric mixer until it was soft before adding cream of tartar and mixing it again to make it soft.I then added sugar to it slowly and mixing it till the sugar dissolved.

I then added the yolk mixture to the flour mixture and stirred it until is blended before adding egg whites mixture to it,mixing this all till it blended as well. 

I then secretly put something in a hot boiling pot before covering it with a lid

I then poured the blended mixture into a tube pan before putting the pan inside the oven,setting the timer for 45 minutes.

I also put the thing from the pot into the oven for it to be dried

Seeing that the cake was already in the oven,I decided to see what my friend was doing so I looked towards Soma who seemed to be halfway through

"This dish......I see....keep a portion" I said with a smile when I see what Soma was trying to make making Soma laugh and say "I knew you would kinda figure it would and don't worry I would keep ya portion.And without saying it goes for you as well right?"

I nodded with a chuckle when I hear someone from beside me say "Sora Sirento are you done?" to see it was Nakiri-san.

"Kind of...." Sai says while moving out of the way so she could come to Soma's counter.Nakiri-san nods before turning to Soma and asking "Yukihira Soma,what kind of dish are you trying to make?"

"You have seen so much yet you can't make it out,fufufu~" Soma teasingly says making Nakiri-san angrily shout "I can disqualify you right now" while a blush spread through her face

I widened my eyes at this and give a sharp look towards Soma who immediately shuts up.Nakiri-san also sees this so a hump continues saying "I don't have time to waste on failure.So,I'm asking if you are going to make anything up to my taste buds"

I look at Nakiri-san with a kind of displeased look as Soma never takes a challenge he thinks he won't be able to compete but then my sense started to sharpen as I look at the clock

"The time......" I think before walking to my counter to get the last touches ready while keeping a sharp ear for what Soma is going to say

I had just taken the electric mixer when Soma says "Alright,I will let you know.I'm going to make Restaurant Yukihara Secret Menu Item 8" with a smile making my smile return as I realized my guess was right

I whipped whip cream with the electric mixer until I saw still peaks forming.I then added the whipped cream to the lemon mixture and started to mix it till it was blended

I was just waiting for the ding of the oven to happen when I heard Nakiri-san says "Secret Menu?What kind of intricate dish is it?"with a suspicious look to which Soma's smile even broadened
