EXTENDED SUMMARY!

HAWKINS, INDIANA was easily the most boring town known to man.

Nothing ever happened here. It was the same, boring routine every day — people would go to work or school in the morning, spend most of their day there, come back home, and go to bed. The biggest crime around town would be a petty theft from one of the convenience stores, and the only disputes the police department would have to solve were between the neighbors Eugene McCorkle and Merrill Wright, both of them accusing each other of doing something or the other to their farms.

That was, until the November of 1983. All of that changed when Will Byers went missing, and this quaint little town located two hours away from Indianapolis suddenly became involved in things far darker: government conspiracies, secret laboratory experiments, a shitload of cover-ups, and oddly enough, parallel universes.

Almost a year has passed since then, and things finally seem to be going back to normal. Will's been found, and everyone seems to have forgotten the events that took place a year ago.

Except they haven't, and Nicole's little brother and his friends have decided that whatever "took" their friend last year is back, and that it's their duty to save the world. And, somehow, Nicole finds herself right in the middle of this mess.

Maybe Hawkins isn't as boring as she once thought.

hello everyone! so i've been working on this story for quite a while (almost a year now) and i'm so excited to finally be able to share it with you all. this thing has been in the drafts since, like, july of last year. since then, i've grown incredibly attached to literally all the characters in this book (especially brian) and i really hope you guys enjoy reading them as i much as i enjoyed creating them. also, this story will have fairly slow updates because, 1. i'm just Like That, and 2. school is literally such a pain, but anyway, i'm super excited for this book
