Dear Faye,
There will be times when your trust is betrayed. So badly that you question everyone's actions. You hardly trust. You stop letting people in. you will come across such situations lots of time in life. And, it'll be completely fine to build walls to protect yourself. But, don't close yourself just because of people who didn't value you. As you build your walls up, build yourself up too. Never put yourself down just because some unworthy person couldn't see how beautiful of a gem you are! But when that person comes, the one who sees you for you. Who appreciates you for more than you are. Who makes you feel safe and happy. When that person stumbles in your life, let them in through a secret passage. Because believe me, this person won't simply walk in your life. They will stumble and crash in your life like a hurricane changing everything you once believed in.
