In the eyes of a good officer

I just moved to Metro city a few days ago and started a new job as a police officer, since I've always wanted to be one, I was new to the Metro police department so I was faced with the easy tasks until today.

I walked into work thinking I would have an easy shift today till my boss called me into the office,

"Sir you wanted to see me" I said opening the door to the office

"Officer (your last name), yes I have an important case for you there seems to be someone robbing a bank at 15 wallstreet and we need YOU to handle it" he says pointing a finger at you for dramatic affect

"Me, sir" I say raising a brow

"Yes, now quick" he says gently pushing you out the door

"B-but, sir I've Just started I'm practically a training officer, can't anyone else do it-" I say putting my hands out stopping me from getting pushed out the door

"No, no, this is part of your training" he says with a weak smile

"Fine" I say before walking out, as soon as I leave everyone in the police department stares at me, I can hear a few people talking behind my back

"The boss set her up with Megamind"

"Oh god I pray for her"
I hear people whisper, I ignore it and walk over to my desk grabbing the car keys and set off to the bank,
I started the car and put in the directions of the bank in the sat nav, just thinking that the robbery may just be a code 126 which is a fake situation they put rookies in as a joke and that was probably why my boss only wanted me to go.

I got to the bank and as soon as I opend the car door the sound of the alarm pierced through my ears I walked up to the bank the alarm getting louder if this was a 126 they sure put effort into this but even if it was one or not I would still do what I was trained to do, I got in to the bank and saw several people crouched down in fear, I then walked over to the alarm system and turning it off, not long after two people stepped out coming from the safe I looked up to see a fish in a gorilla costume carrying two bags off cash and next to him was a tallish skinny blue man with a huge head also carrying two bags off cash.

"Freeze" I say pointing my gun towards them

"Minion put the money in the car!" the blue guy yelles,
the fish in the gorilla suit starts walking towards the exit carrying the bags of cash as the blue guy slowly walks closer to me I turn towards the hostages signalling them to run they all do so running towards the exit, I turn my face back to the blue guy who is a metre away from me I look him directly in the eyes he smiles an evil smirk before opening his mouth,

"aren't you scared?" He says raising an eyebrow

"Ha, of what that cheap Halloween costume-"

"No!" He says darting his eyebrows at me and dropping the bags on the floor

"You know it's like the middle of July right, Halloween is no way near" I say chuckling a bit

"Who are you, are you new to this city or something?" He says

I lower the gun
"Yes I'm officer (your last name) Y/N (your last name) I just moved to this city a few days a go-" I point the gun back at him
