in the middle of 8th grade
lorcan became different, much more confident while avery started to lose her power over the class
avery was in the corner writing a story while lorcan passed by and took the paper
"lorcan! give it baaack" Avery whined
"what's on it?" lorcan asked running around the room
"please give it back!" the girl looked like she was about to cry when lorcan tried to give it back to fool her
she took the paper and held on as tight as she could but lorcan pulled force and ripped the paper into half
"did- did you just break my paper?" avery asked
"you could replace it anyway" lorcan scoffed
avery looked red and tears in her eyes
"look I'll even help you" lorcan tried to offer
"it's ruined!" she said
"glue?" he suggested while she was getting more red
"tape?" avery was clutching her hands
"oh come off it!" lorcan said and that was the last straw
the last thing lorcan saw was a fist coming his way
|principal's office
"you punched him?" the principal asked them
lorcan was holding a ice pack near his eye while avery was nervously sipping the straw of her water jug
"yes" she answered
"take that stupid thing away" the principal said pointing at the jug
avery quickly removed it
"why?" the principal asked
"because" she started
"he took my paper which had a story i was making for a week!" she tried to defend herself
"did you asked politely?" the principal asked her
"of course! I'm not that evil" avery replied
"you saw her nearly crying why did you yanked it?" the principal asked lorcan this time
"i dunno? I'm not myself at that time" and he gave a silly answer
"you two make up, dismissed" the principal had enough
"I'm sorry" avery started
"sorry" lorcan replied
"aww you two! it's all good no more fights" their adviser said engulfing them in a very awkward hug
since then the two started hanging out
peter found a group for him called soviets
avery was friends with the group but not apart of it
and lorcan was invited but didn't reply
will that group cause them good? or will they destroy the friendship they have created?
