"True love stories never have endings."

Richard Bach

Tony and I are in India for a wedding. Everything is running smoothly until a Spider-Man situation pops up. I look at Tony as he checks his phone. "What is it?"

"I got a Spiderling situation," Tony informs me. I watch as Tony motions his wrists that are connected to a suit back in New York.

I can hear Peter explaining what happened, "And then he just, he just, like, swooped down like a monster and he picked me up and, uh, he took me up, like, a thousand feet and just dropped me. How'd you find me? Did you put a tracker in my suit or something?"

"I put everything in your suit. Including this heater," Tony tells him.

"Whoa!" Peter shouts. "Whew, that's better. Thanks."

"What were you thinking?" I ask Peter.

"The guy with the wings is obviously the source of the weapons. I gotta take him down," Peter reasons.

"Take him down now, huh? Steady, Crockett, there are people who handle this sort of thing," Tony tells him.

"The Avengers?" Peter questions.

"No, no, no. This is a little below their pay grade," Tony tells him.

"Anyway, Mr. Stark, you didn't have to come all the way out here. I had that. I was fine," Peter assures.

"Oh, I'm not here," Tony tells him. "AP and I are at a wedding in India. Thank God this place has Wi-Fi, or you would be toast right now. Thank Ganesh while you're at it." A man brings Tony and I drinks. Tony makes a small toast, whispering his gratitude.

"Cheers. Look, forget the flying vulture guy, please," I tell Peter.

"Why?" Peter questions.

"Why? Because I said so!" A woman walks to Tony and I. Tony demurely bends down in order to help her put a flower garland around his neck. I then do the same. "Sorry, I'm talking to a teenager." He talks to Peter again, "Stay close to the ground. Build up your game helping little people, like that lady that bought you the churro."

"Can't you just be a friendly..." I take a sip from my drink and put it down with a clink. "...neighborhood Spider-Man?"

"But I'm ready for more than that now," Peter insists.

"No, you are not," Tony states.

"That is not what you thought when I took on Captain America," Peter reminds him.

"Trust me, kid. If Cap wanted to lay you out, he would've. Listen to me. If you come across these weapons again, call Happy," I instruct.

Peter hears the car engine revving. "Are you driving?"

Tony and I get into a car. "You know, it's never too early to start thinking about college. Tony and I have some pull at MIT," I inform him.

Tony looks at the phone, "End call."

I smile at Tony. "I like that you're looking out for Peter. Its practice for when Asher gets older."

Tony smiles. "I'm gonna need all the help I could get."

I sit with Tony as he calls Peter Parker. "Parker. Got a sec?" Tony asks.

"Uh, I'm actually at school," Peter says.

"Nice work in D.C." Tony tells him.

"Okay," Peter says.

"My dad never really gave me a lot of support... And I'm just trying to break the cycle of shame," Tony confesses.
