Chapter 5: Purify

"Feels like the Malevolence has been lifted somewhat, don't you think?" Sorey said.

"Indeed it has. But we still need to find a way to bring the Drake down." Lailah replied.

"Sorey, can you head to the base of the great tree?" Edna asked.

"Huh? Oh yeah, sure." Sorey agreed. He did what she said and went for the huge tree.

"What do you plan to do, Edna?" Lailah asked.

"Wait here." She answered.

"For whom?" Alisha questioned.

Edna sighed in reply. "For me, silly." She said before walking off.

The group was confused but did what she said. The group waited... and waited... until it was dark. What was she thinking?

"I wonder where Edna went off to?" Sorey questioned.

"Who knows what goes on in her head?" Mikleo said. Unfortunately for him, Edna heard what he just said and hit his head from behind with her umbrella.

"I'm back." She said.

"What is wrong with you? Huh?" He said before he noticed two particular Seraphs behind her.

"A-Atakk?" Alisha stuttered in surprise.

"And Aaron!" Aaron said.

"We're here to help! Heard tell you folks could be usin' an extra jolt of power!" Atakk said.

"And besides, it wouldn't feel right for you guys to do all the work by yourselves." Aaron said.

"We just might need that!" Sorey said.

"If I combine Atakk's power with my arrows..." Mikleo trailed off.

"We can bring down the Drake!" Sorey continued.

"Edna told us that y'all are tryin' super-duper hard to fix things up!" Atakk stated before Edna stomped her foot in an unknown emotion.

"If this glum-bum town gets back on its feet, folks might finally remember the place of art in a civilized society!" Atakk said.

"Thank you, Edna." Sorey thanked as Edna hid her face behind her umbrella.

"I just thought it might work." She said.

The group went silent for a few seconds until they heard the Drake's roar from above.

"And here it comes." Lailah said.

"Drat, it's so dark that I can barely see it!" Alisha said.

"That's a good thing. You can fight without worrying about humans catching sight of you." Edna stated.

"Hey, good thinking. So, how exactly should we go about shooting this thing down?" Mikleo asked.

"That I don't know." Edna replied. The group was lost in thought. How would they be able to bring the Drake down?

"Actually, I can help you with that." Aaron broke the silence.

"How?" Mikleo questioned.

"Uh, Aaron here is a bit... unique." Atakk said.

"What do you mean by that, Atakk?" Lailah asked the Normin.

"...He can use seven elements." Atakk hesitated before saying.

"WHAT?!" Most of the group yelled in surprise.

"Quiet! You idiots are gonna wake the humans up!" Edna reprimanded.
