The Good Days

When we were younger,

We were happier.

We smiled more.

We didn't worry about much.

We ran around, playing with others

We didn't stay cooped up in our rooms.

We used to go outside.

We would run up stairs on our hands and feet.

We would play in the mud, the dirt, the snow.

We did so much and took it for granted.

We didn't even know what granted meant then.

Now we wish we were carefree kids again,

Back when we had good days,

And good days they were

Maybe one day...we can find them again.
