The entire car journey back to Klaus' was silent. The couple simply held each other's hands as Klaus drove and Sophia looked out of the window. They were both so in shock by what happened. When they got to Klaus' house, he led Sophia to his room where she finally broke into tears as she slid down the wall. Klaus rushed over to her side and just held her as she cried into his chest.

"I...I could've lost you today! You could be dead right now all because of Damon." Sophia cried as Klaus just held her tight as he rocked her back and forth slowly.

"It's okay love. I'm still here." Klaus said.

"What if Damon was successful? What if Stefan hadn't gotten there in time? Oh my god." Sophia cried, practically clinging onto Klaus.

"Damon is lucky I promised you I wouldn't kill him." Klaus said.

"I hate him! Damon knows how happy you make me and yet, he still makes all these plans behind my back. I hate Damon! I hate him!" Sophia cried.

"Shhh, you don't hate Damon. He just hurt you, that's all." Klaus said softly, rubbing her arm. Sophia pulled her head away from Klaus' chest and he used his thumbs to wipe her tears. "I'm right here my love and I'm never leaving you."

Sophia took a deep breath and held onto Klaus' hands, playing with his fingers. "Everything that Mikael said to you isn't true. You're not alone. You will never be alone ever. You have your siblings who love you so much. And you have me. I'll always support you. I'll always be by your side through thick and thin. I'll never let you feel alone ever."

Klaus let out a smile as he looked at his lap. He felt so grateful to have a woman who was so caring and loving towards him. What did he ever do to deserve her? Sophia caressed his cheek with her hand, stroking it with her thumb as he looked back up at her. Every moment that Klaus was with Sophia, he felt as if he was falling harder and harder for her. She was really burying herself in his cold heart and in a way, it scared him. He was scared at how quickly he was falling for her, how quickly he let his guard down when he was around her, how quickly he was to open up to her about so many personal things he had never shared with anyone, not even his own siblings. But all these things didn't matter because Sophia did one thing that no one else was able to do. She made him happy. She made him genuinely happy and he hadn't felt that way for years. He was always excited to see her, to talk to her, to see her laugh and smile. He looked forward to kissing her and hugging her and making her feel safe and cared for.

Meanwhile Sophia knew she was falling hard for Klaus. She loved everything about him. She loved his adorable smile that showed his dimples, she loved his eyes, she loved the way he cared for her, she loved the way he cared for and protected his siblings. She was falling quickly for the loving and caring man he was. She loved how caring and soft he was with her. All she wanted was to see him happy and smiling and that's all the strength she needed. Klaus leaned forward and gave Sophia a soft kiss on her lips. He pulled away and left another small kiss on her lips as his hand slid down her arm and intertwined with her hand. He pulled away and gazed at his beautiful girlfriend.

"Will you leave town with me tomorrow?" He asked. "I will reunite my family and I want you to meet them all. I know they will adore you like me and Rebekah do."

Sophia was shocked but she thought about it. Right now, she felt as if she couldn't be around her brothers, especially Damon. Apart from her brothers, there was nothing else keeping her in Mystic Falls. Sophia squeezed Klaus' hand and nodded. He smiled and tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear before leaving another kiss on her lips.

Klaus and Sophia were ready to leave town. Sophia was excited. She needed some time away from all the drama that came with Mystic Falls and she was excited to spend some one on one time with Klaus. She held onto his hand as they walked by the large truck that held his family.

"Rebekah, where are you? Pick up the phone darling. Daddy's dead. It's time for a family reunion." Klaus said before hanging up. "Have you seen Rebekah, love?"

"No, not since yesterday." Sophia said as Klaus' phone rang again. It was Stefan.

"Stefan. Miss me already?" Klaus asked.

"I'm just calling to thank you for my freedom." Stefan said.

"Well I like to believe I'm a man of my word. More or less." Klaus smirked, making Sophia roll her eyes.

"The thing is, it came at too high of a price. You took everything from me Klaus."

"Let bygones be bygones. Trust me, resentment gets old." Klaus said as the couple approached the truck and Klaus' began to fiddle with the lock.

"You know what never gets old? Revenge." Stefan said as Klaus opened the shutter of the truck and the couple saw the truck was empty. The coffins were gone. Klaus' family were gone. Sophia looked at Klaus with a worried look on her face.

"No." Klaus growled into the phone.

"What's the matter Klaus? You missing something?" Stefan asked.

"What are you doing?" Klaus asked.

"Enjoying my freedom." Stefan said.

"I will kill you and everyone you have ever met." Klaus threatened.

"You do that and you will never see your family again. But an even better reason, my sister will never forgive you. She will hate you for the rest of her life."

Klaus growled and hung up the phone. "Stefan stole my family!" Klaus exclaimed, pacing around frantically.

"Klaus, calm down." Sophia said, rushing over to him and grabbing his hands.

"How can I calm down when my family are gone?!"

"We will fix this. I will talk to Stefan. You'll get your family back." Sophia said as he stroked his cheek with her thumb to calm him down which seemed to have worked.

"I..I was so excited to have you meet them."

"And I know we'll get along great. They'll know everything you did to protect them. I'll make sure they know." Sophia said before leaning up and kissing his lips.

Klaus sighed and squeezed Sophia's hands. He needed his family back before things got ugly.
