The Unexpected Couple | Slow Updates

Chapter 01: Laurel Nora Allen-Lance

Everyone has shocked faces all looking at Laurel.                                                                                            She smiles and giggles at them.
"Your saying you're our daughter?" Barry raises his eyebrows.
"from the future?" Sara adds managing to digest this.
"Named Laurel?" Barry's looks back at his future daughter.
"Actually it's Laurel Nora Allen - Lance, after your Mom and sister." Laurel responds looking at her mother with a big smile.
"Anybody need a refill?, No?, Just me?" Cisco asks then finishes his champagne.
"Cisco Ramon, always cutting the tension with a joke." Laurel happily says joining Cisco getting herself a glass.
"You know our names?" Caitlin asks. Laurel sips her champagne and gives a quick nod.
"Of course, I know all of you. You all raised me." Laurel says walking to the group.
"Your Aunt Caity, Ralph Dibney, Papa Joe, Mama Cecile, Baby Jenna, Uncle Wally and Auntie Iris." She explains finishing the rest of her glass and gently puts it on the table.
"Uh, and your nickname is White Lightning?" Wally asks.
"Maybe my doing." Cisco interrupts. "No, uh, it's a nickname that you gave me when I was a kid, Mom." Laurel looks back at her mother giving her a nervous smile.
Sara gives a small smile in return.
"You said that white was the colour your sister choose for you when you become a hero and the lightning part represents Dad also my lightning is white so..." Laurel explains giving a slight shrug.
"You said you made a mistake?" Barry questions trying to get back on track.
"Big mistake." Laurel adds.
"Which was..." Sara asks trying to understand everything.
"Helping you save the city by destroying the Star Labs satellite last night." Laurel explains looking between both her parents.
"You were the other speedster?" Barry asks.
"I just couldn't help myself from getting involved, also it looked too easy," Laurel explains "But something happened when I did, because now, I can't seem to open up a time hole." Laurel finishes lowing her face looking at her shoes.
"Par - pardon me. Are we talking about time travel here?" Ralph asks. Laurel giggles to herself while Team Flash ask Ralph how he doesn't know about time travel and The Legends.
They all shut up when Baby Jenna whimpers, finding out that Cecile still has her powers.
"I'm sorry," Laurel says walking up beside her mother.
"I know how bizarre this must seem. Meeting your daughter from the future as an adult. This wasn't my plan at all, but I'm kind of stuck here now, and your the only people who can help me. So... anybody know what to do?" Laurel asks then popping some sweets in her mouth giving both her parents pleading looks.
Sara and Barry look at each other, mouth gaped but knowing they have to help.

Star Labs
"This is so, so weird." Barry says looking at Laurel running in the speed Lab.
"Yeah, I mean, I can't believe that's our daughter up there!" Sara responds with a big smile.
"We have been lied to before." Barry adds looking at his girlfriend.
Sara looks at Barry with both concern and wonder but also understanding.
"Babe, yellow lightning like yours, white like mine? " Sara says recalling when she was a speedster for a week.
"I mean it's gotta be her." She also adds.
While Sara and Barry are talking, Laurel was remembering a happy memory with her mother.

Central City Boarder 2042...
"So why are we out here, Mom?" Laurel questions walking near the water.
"Well, Uncle Wally said that he learned how to use his powers here. So that's what we're gonna do today." Sara says.
Laurel eyes go wide and she squels giving her mother a loving hug. "OMG, Yes, so what do I do?" Laurel asks.
"Okay, your going to run around the boarder as long as you can. But make sure you breathe and in control of your powers. When stopping you first start slowing down before you come for a complete hault." Sara explains giving her daughter an encouraging squeeze on her shoulder.
"Okay, okay, okay, let's do this." Laurel steadies herself then takes off.

Central City Star Labs Present
Laurel comes to a hault behind her parents making them turn around.
"Wow, this Speed Lab sure is archaic, huh?" Laurel accidentally says out loud looking around.
Sara makes a zip your lips sign while her Dad blocks his ears.
When Barry asks no future talk, Laurel quickly agrees with him.
Then Caitlin, and Cisco come in, they link her up to her biometrics, while Cisco puts something on her wrist that'll analyze her connection to the Speedforce.
When they walk off Laurel nervously looks around at everyone. "Great, I'll be back in a Flash." Laurel winks at her mom and runs off.
