Banjo and Captain Blubbers kept on their journey until they made it out of the forest and onto the sand. Right in front of them stood an enormous golden temple, with stairs heading straight up to the entrance. Banjo and Blubbers entered cautiously as Gruntilda watched from the bushes nearby.
"The bear managed to escape my trap." said Gruntilda quietly "I'll let HIM get the book, and when he comes out I'll give him a zap! Heeheeheeheeheh!"
After twenty minutes of walking through the maze-like cave Captain Blubbers spots a shiny golden trinket sitting upon a golden pedestal.
"Ooh, pretty." cheers Captain Blubbers as he inches his way towards the trinket.
"Who dares steal my precious trinket?!" yelled a booming voice from the shadows.
"Uh... he does." says Captain Blubbers, throwing the trinket into Banjo's paws.
"Liar!" shouts the voice, now leaving the shadows to reveal a big, fat jaguar.
"Chief Bloatazin?" says Banjo, confused as to why Chief Bloatazin would be here.
I have no answer, he just is.
"Yes!" shouts Chief Bloatazin, posing heroically "I am Chief Bloatazin! I know all! I see all!"
Chief Bloatazin snatches the trinket out of Banjo's paws and hugs it tight.
"I'll never let anyone take you from me." says Bloatazin, planting wet, sloppy kisses all over the valuable trinket.
"No fair!" screams Captain Blubbers "I found that thing fair and square! It belongs to me!"
Captain Blubbers grabs the trinket and yanks it towards himself, but Bloatazin has a tight grip on it.
"No!" shouts Bloatazin "It belongs to me!"
Bloatazin tugs the trinket back, causing a tug of war with the captain.
"It's mine!" shouts Blubbers.
"It's mine!" shouts Bloatazin.
"It's mine!"
"It's mine!"
"It's mine!"
"It's mine!"
"It's mine!"
"It's mine!"
"It's mine!"
"Oh brother." says Banjo, rolling his eyes and sneaking away from childish fight.
"I'll do anything to have that trinket!" Blubbers shouts, pulling the trinket with all of his might.
"No!" shouts Bloatazin.
"How about a game of pinochle?" asked Captain Blubbers, getting a bit tired, but still holding tight to the trinket.
"Never!" growls Chief Bloatazin.
"Oh my gosh!" screams Captain Blubbers, letting go of the trinket "What's that behind you?!"
"Where?" asks Bloatazin, looking back into the shadows.
"HA!" laughs Blubbers, stealing the trinket while Bloatazin wasn't looking.
"Hey, come back here!" shouts Bloatazin, running after the captain that stole his trinket.
Not a whole lot happened in this chapter, but wait until the next one. That's when things get a little exciting.
