By the time it had gotten dark enough to leave, I had gotten dressed in ripped jeans and a hoodie.

"That's your costume?" Kyler asked me on my way out, "You just look like... well, you."

I just smiled, closing the door behind me. I wasn't gone long, but most of the time was spent trying to lead them to a secluded place.

"Anything good?" Kyler asked as I came back in, two bags of candy in one hand, and in the other, the hand of a child. A second child holding the firsts hand. I tossed the bags on the couch so I had a hand for each kid. "Is that Cady and Carter?"

I nodded, leading the two into the kitchen, "Cassie called us freak shows two weeks ago."

"But they're kids..."

I shoved the two children into the walk-in freezer, they landed next to our dad who was missing his lower body and arm. I closed the door and locked it as they screamed, muffling the sound. I shrugged, "Cassie had too many people around. Besides, younger meat is sweeter and tender. It's my favorite."
