❝ found her beautiful ❞

HER FEET HIT THE PAVEMENT AND SHE ROLLED TO A STOP. She panted before hearing another roar. A smirk crossed her face. She glanced up to see the large black mass heading her way and stood up straight, gold sword twirling in her hand.

Ariadne narrowed her eyes as the hellhound ran forward. "You ready, smartie?" she called out.

"Yep!"

A bronze disk hit the creature in the neck. The hellhound was flipped and landed on its paws, shaken and dazed as the two girls watched with knowing glances. It growled, and its red eyes glowed brighter in the morning air.

Ariadne only gave the blonde next to her a satisfied look. "You go left, I go right?" she said.

Hailey nodded.

They went their desired ways and struck quickly.

Hailey twisted her celestial bronze dagger before flipping over the hellhound. She stabbed the dagger into the hellhound's side and it yelled, but it was apparently stronger than most and only bleed black shadows.

The blonde had to swerve to the side to avoid getting caught by its claws. She twists her dagger and dances around the hellhound, taunting it.

"HEY!" Ariadne called.

The hellhound glared at the brunette who stood far away.

"Come and get me!"

It charged at Ariadne. She shook her head at its stupidity and dove to the side before a wave of vines tripped the hellhound and wrap around it. Hailey met at her side, and they both nodded before the blonde stabbed her dagger into the eye of the hellhound, keeping away from its large teeth.

At first, Ariadne had been hesitant on killing a hellhound due to Mrs. O'Leary, but after a while, it became easier due to seeing as how they were nothing like her newfound animal friend.

The hellhound trickled into black dust before melting into the ground. Both of them panted as they have each other high-fives.

"We should head back," Hailey said. "More could be heading our way."

Ariadne nodded. "Where are we at?"

Hailey looked around them. They were on a deserted road surrounded by farm land, with woods on one side and open corn fields on the other. Her grey eyes squinted.
