My eyes slowly fluttered open to see Kaneki was right next to me. He looked so peaceful as he slept. I smiled sadly at him. He probably hasn't gotten a good nights rest in such a long time. I moved a strand of hair away from his face. His eyes slowly opened up.

"I'm sorry, did I wake you?" I chuckled.

"No," he said and pulled me closer to him.

"You're a bad liar, you know that?" I smiled.

"I'm not lying."

"Kaneki, I know how you are when you lie."

"Alright, tell me."

"You get a little flushed when you lie."

"It's just my natural morning glow," he chuckled.

I chuckled with him and looked into his eyes. He leaned down and I pulled him down to me. I pressed my lips against his. His were so soft and so warm. I pulled away and nuzzled into the crook of his neck.

"I take it you don't want to get up yet?"

"No. I like it here."

"Don't we have to do something today?"

"Yeah we have a meeting with the CCG and the few interviewers that were not affected by dragon."

"When is that again?"

"In about an hour."

He sighed, "We should get up, Y/N."

"But I like it here," I said and tightened my grip around him.

"Alright, five more minutes," he said.

The door opened up and Kage ran over to my side of the bed.

"Y/N! Wake up!" Kage said.

"Yeah, Kage?" I got up.

"Who's with you?"

"Morning, bud," Kaneki said and sat up.

"Hi, Kaneki!" he smiled.

"What's the matter, Kage?" I asked.

"There's someone who wants to talk to you," Kage said and someone walked through the door. It was one of the interviewers.

"Am I interrupting something?" they asked.

"No," I said and kicked Kaneki from the bed.

He stood up and collected himself.

"Hi, I thought you weren't coming until an hour from now?" Kaneki said.

"I wanted to get a special report on just the two of you. Seems like you were busy doing something."

"No, no, it's not what you think," Kaneki said, getting a little flustered.

"I see. Get ready and I will meet you two in the other room," the interviewer said and walked out of the room.

"Well that's just great," Kaneki said.

I chuckled and got out of bed.

"Kage, can you give Kaneki and I some time to get ready?" I asked.

"Ok!" he smiled and ran out of the room, closing the door behind him.

"Do you think he understands?" Kaneki asked me.

"If he asks me I'll just say we were talking and we fell asleep. Because that is what we did last night."

"Hey, Y/N?" Kaneki asked.
