Chapter Thirty-One: Make-Up or Break-Up

Nyssa was furious, yes she was pregnant and it wasn't her husbands but she wasn't in a relationship then, he openly stared at her breasts while being married to her, she threw her clothes in her suitcase and packed her toiletries bag, Jerome burst through the door and stopped "what are you doing?" "I'm going back home" "Nyssa.. can we please talk about this?" she continued to pack and he groaned, he walked up to her and grabbed her wrists stopping her from moving.

She glared at him and pulled her arms away from him and stood back with her arms crossed "fine.. talk" "you can't be this mad at me.. you're pregnant to another guy" "I am this mad.. the moment something bad happens you run to her!" "she just showed up!" "you really expect me to believe that!?" "yes! I'm your husband! I married you not her! you should trust me!" "I saw the way you were looking at her Jerome!" "okay.. Jerome sighed and pulled her close "I know he's your son baby.. he always has been and always will be" she buried her face in his chest and let her tears fall "I'm sorry doll, I don't want this to be the beginning of our new life" "I don't either" "we can fix this-" "if you're suggesting I get rid of it-" "what the fuck!? no! I'd never ask you to do that.. I was gonna suggest some really intense make up sex" she playfully slapped his chest and he grinned "I'm still mad at you" she said and he nodded "I'm not really thrilled about your situation either.. but let's discuss it all when we get home.. we have the rest of our lives to yell and scream at each other.. just not on our honeymoon" he booped her nose and she nodded.

Talia tried to calm her breathing as she took slow steps to face the person that had been ruining her life for six years and counting, she felt her body shake when her boss flicked their gaze to her and smiled "I assume you've come with good news?" "you're right.. they're here" her boss smirked "she always wanted to go here.. so.. how did it go?" Talia took a deep breath "he.. he didn't want me" her boss narrowed their eyes in anger "you've done it before!" "he said he's happily married" her boss nodded with an intense look on their face "tell me.. does Nyssa wear her ring?" "from Jerome? yeah.. it's a huge diamond" her boss smirked and reached into their pocket pulling out a box and chucked it to Talia who caught it and opened it slightly.

Her eyes widened and she looked to her boss in confusion, it was an exact replica of Nyssa's ring from Jerome "what is this?" "never you mind what it is.. I don't care how you do it.. but swap her ring for that one.. I'll give you further instruction when needed" Talia felt an uneasy feeling in her gut then she remembered her sister was pregnant and worry flashed across her face and her boss caught her look "you're not having second thoughts again.. are you?" they stood up quickly with a stern look and stood inches from her face "no boss" her boss ran their hand over Talia's scar from where Jason came from and she flinched making her boss smirk and whisper in her ear "I hope you're not trying to back out again.. don't forget what happened last time.. where did you bury it again?" Talia felt tears sting her eyes "I.. don't know.. you wouldn't let me" she said weakly and her boss smirked "and don't you forget it.. I own you Talia Al Ghul.. for as long as I want.. you'll do as I say.. clear?" "crystal boss" they smiled one last time then sat back down and turned away from her "now get out of my sight.. I'm sick of looking at you" Talia nodded and walked to the door but stopped and felt her stomach drop when her boss piped up "oh.. and do give Nyssa regards.. pregnancy can be tough.. you would know" Talia felt tears sting her eyes and she ran out quickly, Talia slid down the wall of her apartment and thought of all the memories.
