Tori's POV
Pete and I finished swimming and I went back inside.
"Want some breakfast?" He asked.
"Sure. I'll go see if Patrick wants some." I said.
He grinned. "Ill wake up Andy and see if he wants to cook." He said.
I laughed and went to mine and Patricks room.
When I opened the door, he wasn't in the bed anymore. But Elisa was.
"Oh," I said. "What's going on?" I tried not to sound pissed off.
"Good morning, Tori. How are you?" Elisa asked.
"I'm great. Where's Patrick?" I asked.
"In the shower. I came in here because the baby was kicking whenever he sang to it. And you know how Patrick sings in the shower? Well, I stayed in here so the baby could hear him sing." she said.
Yes, because waiting while your ex husband takes a shower isn't weird.
"That's....neat. If you don't mind, I'm going to change. Pete or Andy is about to make breakfast, if you want to eat." I said.
"Ooh, that sounds great." She said, standing up.
She left the room and I began pulling my soaked pajamas off. The bathroom door opened and Patrick came out.
I offered him a smile. "Morning." I said.
He didn't return it. "Morning." He said.
What? Nothing to say about the fact I was half naked?
That was unlike him.
Feeling slightly embarrassed, I pulled on a dry shirt.
"Elisa told me about the baby." I tried again. "That's so cool."
"Yeah." He replied, pulling a shirt over his own head.
"Patrick?" I asked.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"What's wrong?"
Why was he upset? He's the one that was naked with his ex wife in the next room! I should be mad! But I wasn't, because I trusted him.
I may be a little jealous, but that was my problem. And Patrick didn't even know about it.
"Nothing." Patrick said.
"Oh, come on." I said, turning to him.
"Did you have fun with Pete?" He asked.
"Is that was this is about?" I demanded. "Patrick, I told you. Pete isn't getting any part of me. I'm yours. I agreed to marry you, didn't I?"
"Yeah, but when I wake up you're with him and not me." He said.
"Excuse me for not sleeping all morning! Pete was the only one awake! I could've just as easily been swimming with Andy! Or Joe!" I cried.
"But you weren't. It was Pete. It's always Pete." He said.
"And it's always Elisa for you!" I fired back.
"That's not fair." Patrick said. "And you know it. Elisa is carrying my child. And she's been nothing but kind to you. You have no right."
"Pete's my best friend! And yours too, Patrick! And last time I checked, Pete wasn't being 'anything but kind' to you either! You have no right!" I yelled.
"He's not your best friend!" Patrick yelled.
"Yes he is!" I shouted back.
Patrick suddenly threw his hands up in the air. I gasped, momentarily seeing Evans hand flying towards my face. I stumbled back, cowering away from him, waiting for the impact that wouldn't come.
"Tori?" Patrick asked, now calm.
I didn't answer as I came out of the flashback and gasped again. Patrick didn't hit me. He'd never hit me. What was I thinking?
"Tori, I'm so sorry." Patrick was saying. He pulled me into his arms. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you."
I didn't answer, just stood still in front of him. I was still too shocked. I'd never thought Patrick would hit me. Now I was afraid of him when he threw his hands up?
What was happening to us?
"I'm sorry baby. I am. You were right. Let's not fight anymore. It's okay. you're safe. I'd never hurt you." Patrick soothed.
He pulled away even I remained silent. "Char?" He asked.
I finally nodded, and he hugged me again. "It's okay. Don't worry." He said.
"I'm not." I said.
He rubbed my back and I clung to him, doing my best to forget the awful flashback. But once Evans face was in my head, it wouldn't go away. And very soon it was joined by Wills. God. What was I supposed to do?
That's when Elisa came back into the room.
"Patrick, something's wrong." She said.
Patrick looked at her. "What?" He asked.
"I don't know. Something feels weird with the baby. Patrick it hurts and I'm scared." She said, near tears.
Patricks arms dropped from around me and he went right to Elisa, leaving me feeling alone.
Alone, and still scared.
"What hurts?" He demanded.
I tuned out her answer and just stood by, watching.
"Okay, let's go to the hospital then." He said.
He led her out of the room, leaving me completely alone in our room with Evan and Will's faces swimming in my mind.
That's when the panic attack started.
Uh oh, what now?
