{Chapter 4} Train

{Your POV}

L kept pushing me towards my room. I'm not sure what to do at this point other then go with it

"Ryuzaki! i-i'm fine really!" I tried to stop my self but he was too strong for me to push my self away. He didn't say anything he just pushed me in my room and on the bed. What the heck is happening...

"You sleep now" Was all he said. Wait this is like the fanfics i read in my spare time when the reader gets pushed to the bed then-
A A A A A A. I realized this is life and not fantasy, I tried to hide my blush from the memories of reading the fanfics

"Y/n."

I hummed and L was by the door, But he just turned the lights off and left

{sigh} "I'm not even tired" I was sitting on the bed in the dark for at least 45 minutes when I started getting sleepy.

{Next day}

Everyone was in the living room talking over the kira case. I haven't been much help recently other than stating the facts everyone's forgotten.

Soon Watari walked in with some belts. We all had questioned looks of why there were some belts and a necklace

"I'd like to request that you wear these at all times" he spoke

"Uh, Belts?" Matsui asked

"Each one had a transmitter hidden in the buckle. This will allow Ryuzaki to monitor your whereabouts and when you press the buckle twice like this..." He pressed on the buckle twice as explained

{RIIING RIIING}

huh. Impressive

"...My cellphone will ring, displaying your name and i'll call you back immediately but you won't see my number displayed. In the morning, all of you will go to the police station as usual". Welp for me I just have to stay here with L

"then, later in the day, we'll use this method to confirm the name of Ryuzaki's hotel and his room number" Watari gave out the belts and handed me the necklace, it was silver with a blue gem in the middle which i'm guessing is fake due to the explanation of the belts

"Please use this for emergencies as well"

"No way! this is totally cool!" Matsui said. I giggled to the sound of his childish voice
"I feel like some kind of secret agent going after Kira!"

"Quiet Matsuda! This is not the time to be fooling around" The chief yelled.
"Yes, sir" He moped

"Oh and come to think of it, who's at the police station right now?" L asked
"Actually no ones there at the moment" Chief said. That's not good. What if someone has info on kira? Or some one who praises Kira picks up on that!

"That's not good news. We need someone there at all times. Work shifts if  you have too"

"I understand. Aizawa, i'll put you in charge of that today" He commanded

Hm all seems to go well here. We still haven't gone over some other stuff i want to talk about but i don't think right now is the right time either.

"Yes, Sir I'm on my way. Won't take me long" Aizawa stood up.

{Later that day}

{Click!}

"That was footage from surveillance cameras at the train station" Aizawa groaned. Man i feel bad for him having to look over all the files for this case.

"The death of one of the FBI agents is captured on here" He spoke. I could see the circles under his eyes getting darker

"Let's see the following scenes again" L asked

"Raye Penber passing the ticket gate on his way in, then he boarding the train. And finally, the part where he dies on the platform" He took a bite of the ice cream. Hm I actually want some ice cream right now

"Okay"

"let's see" Aizawa looked for the files."I-i think it's n-next to t-that" I said pointing

"Oh here it is." He picked the videos up

"U-Um, so based on the records I have here, R-Raye Penber c-comes through the west entrance of shinjuku s-station at 3:11 P.m" I explained.

"T-Then at 3:13 he boards a train on the Yamanote l-line"

"But even if he was following someone at that time, I think it's going to be very difficult for us to draw any real conclusions from this blurry video" Matsuda added in. I nodded in agreement

"A-and then at exactly 4:42 p.m..Ah-" Watari handed me a 3 scooped ice cream. I smiled

"T-thank you Watari"
"U-i'm, and at 4:42 p.m. he exits t-the train a-at tokyo station and dies on the platform" 

"It's quiet strange, don't you think?" L said. What does he mean strange?
"I'm sorry, What do you mean strange?" Chief asked "Y-yeah Ryuzaki?"

L bit into his ice cream "Mmm...We know Raye Penber got on the train and then an hour and a half later he got off and died on the platform."

"B-but the Yamanote L-like takes an hour t-to complete its cercuit" I said. L smiled "Yes that's exactly right"

"And more importantly, t-there's an envelope."
"What do you mean?" Aizawa asked

L pressed back on the remote and paused the clip. He does have an envelope in his arm

"H-he's holding what seems to look like an e-envelope when he passes t-through the ticket gate" I said. Aizawa gasped

"Your right. It's there under his arm! But in the footage before his death it's gone!. I can't believe you actually caught that! Kohana!" He exclaimed. I scratched my head in embarrassment.

"I-i mean if you looked hard enough.."

"Well i don't see and envelope on this list and his personal effects." The chief spoke
"which means it was left in the train." L got closer to the screen.

"A-And if you w-watch closely at the very e-end here...." I grabbed the remote out of L's hand and played back.

"It seems like he's straining to look in the train" Ryuzaki added. I nodded.

"Before the doors close, You can see right here"

"If that's the case do you think it could mean something?" Chief spoke. Wait what if Kira was on that train at during the moment Raye died?

"W-What if Kira was o-on the train!" I said.
"That's impossible!" The chief spoke

"I admit i find it hard to believe as well. there's no reason for Kira to come to the scene of his own crime when he can kill from a distance" L said. that does make sense tho...Man i feel like an idiot now...

"Well... maybe he was counting on us to make that assumption, and figured he could get away with such a bold move." He took another bite of his ice cream. I was almost finished with mine, I stare at the screen for a while

This is definitely a longer chapter but whatever ig i'm just trying to get the pain out of my mind lmao
