CHAPTER ONE
"she's gone...she's really gone", Will whispered, a singular tear streaming down his face. although the two weren't close, he owed her his life.
"no, no- no she isn't gone. she can't be", Mike responded, his voice quivering as if her had been stranded in freezing weather.
"mike!", nancy shouted, grabbing his attention. she leaned down next to him and pulled him into a hug, allowing him to cry his heart out.
"she saved us...she saved all of us", lucas said, barely lower than a whisper. it was as if they were trying to mask the pain with quiet voices.
red and blue lights began flashing outside, Dr. Owens was here. large men in uniforms barged inside, pointing guns at the group of teens.
"they're with me!", Owen stated emerging from behind, causing the men to disappear to other parts of the mall. he stared at them, beyond confused. every one of them had tears streaming down their face, but he couldn't understand why.
"eleven...she's dead", steve said, answering the confused look across Dr.Owens face.
