To Be With or To Not Be

Year 3, part 4

Y/n couldn't help but feel happy looking at everyone cheering her on even though she had nothing to do with becoming queen.

"Now we can start your crowning," Dumbledore said happily

Y/n took the center of the stage and looked around for Ron and when she did she kept sneaky glances at him, who was smiling ear to ear.

"Well let us celebrate the honourable Y/n Nightingale to be Hogwarts true Queen! Do you Nightingale take the crown?" Dumbledore asked Y/n with pure happiness in his eyes

"I do take the honour to be Hogwart's Queen" Y/n bowed slightly like she had seen her mother do at certain events

"Professor Snape, the crown please." He asked Snape who had been holding the beautiful crown on a cushion pillow.

Snape walked up to him and handed him the crown returning to his original place.

Dumbledore carefully picked up the crown and placed it upon Y/n head causing the students to yell and cheer insanely.

"You are now pronounced Queen, please say a few words for us"

Y/n straighten her back and began the speech she had prepared in literally two minutes.

"Uh first off I can't express how much all this means to me, no one needed to make this so grand but you did so thank you. I just wanted to say what an incredible job Luna did with the dress as well. Lastly, just a thank you to everyone who has always been there by my side." Y/n spoke to the students who surprisingly still had the energy to clap after the speech.

"Thank your highness of Hogwarts," Dumbledore said using his hand to point to the throne. It felt weird someone older was calling her highness especially when it's someone she looked up to.

Nonetheless, she sat on the throne with one less over the other feeling like the queen she was pronounced.

Hagrid came to Y/n's side and handed her a glass of a nonalcoholic drink

"Here you go, here you go raise your glass let the feast begin"

She took the glass which looked like the wine ones she had at home. She raised the glass and said "Let the feast begin!" and took a sip of the drink

In front of everyone, the food appeared and everyone dug right in.

The feast had come to an end and everyone was to go back to their rooms.

Y/n walked down the few steps with her dress slightly trailing behind her gracefully, she felt wonderful, she loved seeing people praise her no matter how bad it sounded.

"There you are," Draco said when Y/n reached the exit of the hall

"Hello Malfoy I haven't seen much of you since the sleepover"

"True but I've been busy but now I have time for you," he said with his infamous smirk

Y/n wished she could continue the conversation just like this but she couldn't

"Malfoy I have to tell you something but I really need you to just understand, don't overreact please- just be happy for me-uh okay here it goes" Y/n took a deep breath and now was ready to tell him
