It has been a few months since Jimin walked out of Jin's house. Taehyung decided to try to forget Chaeyoung by meeting up with some other girls or by hanging out with his friends.
Unfortunately for him, it didn't work. Because although he's kissing a stranger right now, all he can think about is his love- Park Chaeyoung. He pushed the girl away and shook his head. "I can't do this," he muttered and left the club, feeling as sober as ever.
He took out a cigarette and lit it up. He took a huff from it before exhaling it in relief. When did he get this habit? Right after he found out about Jaehyun. It was stupid, he knows. But it was the only thing that could keep his mind in check.
Taking the last breath from the cigarette, he threw it to the ground and stepped on it. "Fuck, Chaeyoung. Why do I still love you?" he asked to himself.
Taehyung was exhausted, physically and mentally. He got on his bike and rode to his apartment as fast as he could. He entered his apartment and went straight to his room. He went through his cupboard and took out a bottle of whiskey.
He drank it raw, not caring whether he would get a hangover the next day. He continued drinking till he passed out on his bed. He smiled softly in his sleep at his dream.
"Today's the day! I can do this!" Taehyung said to himself as he looked into the mirror. "What if she says no? But... what if she says yes?!" he muttered. "Fuck it. I'm going to do it today," he said with a smile and left his dorm.
He walked around the campus and stopped at the field where a soccer match was going on. He spotted the one he wanted to meet and approached her with a smile. "Taehyung! There you are. I thought you would miss the match today!" Jimin pulled him to the opposite direction.
"Jimin! No! I need to meet Irene!" he yelled but Jimin ignored him. Instead he made him sit with him throughout the game. Taehyung couldn't pay attention to the game as he tapped his feet anxiously.
"Oh? You came!" Jimin said with a joyful tone. Taehyung didn't bother looking up as he kept thinking about Irene. "Yah, Taehyung!" Jimin knocked his head. Taehyung clicked his tongue and looked at him with anger when his eyes fell on the person sitting next to him. His jaws fell open as his anger vanished into thin air.
"This is Chaeyoung. Chae, this is my roommate, Taehyung," Jimin introduced, not noticing the gaze Taehyung was shooting at her. "Nice to meet you," Chaeyoung bowed and Taehyung followed right after.
The whole match, Taehyung could only stare at Chaeyoung. He forgot about the match and Irene right after he set his eyes on the girl that was giggling softly. He whispered to Jimin. "Who is she?" Jimin looked at him with a fond smile and replied. "My sister,"
Taehyung nodded at the new information. He couldn't help but smile as he watched Chaeyoung watch the game with full concentration. "Hey! Did you listen to anything I told you?" Jimin asked. Taehyung looked at him with wide eyes and shook his head.
Jimin sighed. "I said, do you want to join us for lunch or do you want to go with Irene?" he asked again. Taehyung pondered for a moment before deciding to go with Irene. "I need to tell her today, Chim," he reasoned as Jimin nodded and followed his sister.
Taehyung walked over to Irene and they both went out for lunch together, but he didn't feel anything. Nothing at all. When they accidentally brushed fingers, he didn't feel any spark like it used to be. This got him to wonder whether he truly loved her or was it just a mild crush?
