A/N; okay. I made a promise to y'all. So here we go. I'm writing this to be open ended but still concluded if that makes sense. I give everyone my permission to continue this however you like.

a couple things to note:
1. I don't ship brallon anymore for some obvious reasons
2. tbh haven't listened to panic! since 2018
3. I will be writing this in 3rd person POV because I am grown.

It takes a little over a week for Brendon and Jenna to talk to each other again. Brendon decided it was best to give her space. He'd royally screwed up everything so he'd be lucky if he could still salvage the friendship.

Prom is what brings the two together. It's only two days away and neither of the two had made it clear to the other whether their plans were still in action. Although it was probably safe to assume that they weren't.

Brendon was surprised to find Jenna standing next to his locker, looking nervous.

"Hey Brendon." She greeted him softly. Voice seeming unsure of itself.

"Hey." His voice mirrored her tone.

"Look Brendon, boyfriend or not, you're my best friend, and I can't imagine my senior prom without you. What do you think?"

Brendon couldn't help the smile forming on his face. "I couldn't agree more."

Jenna pulled him into a tight hug and biting her face into his shoulder.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too."

The two separate after less than a minute and Jenna plants a kiss to Brendons cheek.

"So when are you going to tell me more about Dallon?"

———

There weren't really any advancements between Brendon and Dallon during that short time. Brendon had officially came out to him, but the two maintained a distance and opted not to jump right into things. The two of them have proven themselves to be very impulsive people. It was good for them to take things slow for a change.

This was an unspoken decision made by the two of them. They never actually talked it over.

Even though he's okay with taking things slow, Brendon can't stop his brain from thinking about their kiss. Dallon can't either.

Instead of going directly into sucking each other's faces off. They spend casual time together as friends. Just like they used to when Brendon was only a kid. They'll cook together. Play music with one another. Flirt a little. And call it a day. No expectations attached. Just two guys enjoying each other's company.

Normally the two of them were very impatient people, but they found solace in each other without the labels. They both needed time to get to know themselves. They've spent so much time pretending and running from their past and who they were.

They don't have their first actual date until after Prom night.

It honestly wasn't an actual date if you think too hard about it because neither party was involved in the planning process. Nope, instead it was the combination of Kara and Jenna with a little help from the rest of their family to completely deck out the Urie's front room. Lights were strung from wall to wall. One of those cheap Walmart disco balls shining every color of the rainbow. How fitting. Time after time playing over the speakers like they were trying to recreate an 80's classic.

They'd somehow tricked Dallon into getting all dressed up and Jenna had insisted on leaving the dance early because of the surprise.

The two of them were quickly left alone by the whole party, awkwardly standing a good distance from each other.

"I think they want us to dance."

"Yeah. I figured Kara was concocting something when she asked me to put on a suit. I was honestly just too curious to say no."

"What do you say we give them what they want?"

Dallon smiled. "I would like that."

The two let themselves fall into each other and sway along to the beat. Brendon's head resting below Dallon's chin.

That's where they shared their first real kiss. Dancing to cheesy eighties music in the middle of his family room while the entire Urie clan watched from the window. Did they really think they were being stealthy?

Both of them still had a lot of their own issues to work out. But right then and there. The outside world vanished.

They decided to enjoy the good moments while they lasted.

A/N; alright y'all, that's it from me. I know this probably isn't what you were hoping for but I still hope it's ok.

If you're still interested in my writing I'm on ao3 @mourntheantagonist. I am currently working on a stranger things fic, but I've posted stuff from other fandoms on there that might be of interest to you (sorry no panic tho)

love you all.
