Harry's pov
I met Jazon at the entrance to the street fair near the city park it was 7 o'clock at night there were string lights hanging and street lamps for lighting
"Harry!" He was significantly shorter than me he tried to wrap an arm around my shoulders causing an awkward chicken wing he slapped my chest with his other hand "this is Billy and Ethan my they are on the hunt tonight too"
The hunt? How fucking disgusting that's that weird alpha male type shit
I sneered and shoved him off me "I don't like to be touched" I tugged my black button up fixing it actually buttoning up one more button
"Uh okay anyway they started selling beer and Jim's set up is ready" Ethan pointed over his shoulder with his thumb
"Beer? Isn't this supposed to be like arts n crafts?" I questioned
"At night they bring out foreign beers and mixed drinks!" Billy very overly excitedly explained they started into the crowd leaving me I debated on leaving now I turned looking back out at the parking lot
I turned back but I am curious to see what the fair is all about
I stepped in scanning over the booths most of it was empty at the front I started to see like kinda macabre dark art stuff with nails, weird imagery, and lots of eyes for some reason I furrowed my eyebrows I mean I'm sure there's an audience for that it's just not me
I saw some leather makers their booth had collars and cuffs out along with some harnesses making me huff a laugh
There was some food here and there it didn't smell that bad either I was actually rather tempted but I decided against it
I stopped at an empty booth, empty as in no artist but there was still art hanging on the wall there was only larger abstract pieces I looked over the counter and on the ground there were more pieces with skeletons, hands, and landscapes they must be in the middle of packing up
"You coming?" I glanced to my right Jazon found me I groaned quietly picking at my bottom lip
"Yeah I just wanted to look around" I faced the art again
"I never understood that shit" he muttered "it's just a big mess of colors and they call it art" he waved a hand in the air
I grimaced "I'll catch up with you" I had obvious distaste in my voice He said something else but I choose to ignore him
I just want to enjoy this art before I leave
"What do you think?" I jumped at an unknown female voice
I turned my arms dropping "about the art?"
She giggled "no about me" she rolled her eyes "yes the art, genius"
I looked her over she had fluffy brown shoulder length hair with Baby doll bangs she had green eyes but they were very yellowy no maybe more so like an orange she had very full lips painted with bright red lipstick she had on beat up foral vans with torn up black skinny jeans paired with a red tank top to match her lips
She wasn't that short she reached a bit above my shoulders I'd say 5'7 maybe
She's pretty, very pretty
"I like it" I spoke still running my eyes along her rather plump frame "I have an appreciation for abstract art" I looked at her arm then back over the counter her tattoos look eerily similar to some of the art behind the counter
"Thanks" she smiled and hopped over the counter picking up some canvases placing them on the counter "not too many people like abstract even though it's my favorite to do"
"I really like your art style" it's dark and gothic making use of lots of thin not perfectly straight lines for shading "you designed your tattoos I'm guessing"
She nodded hopping back over the counter "yeah I also sell tattoo designs but I've already got those in my car" she frowned and paused "I'm sorry did you come here for a design? Cause I can bring the book back, I do traditional and gothic mostly"
I shook my head "no I was just looking I'm sorry"
"It's fine" she laughed picking the canvases back up
"Can I help you carry those?" I offered holding out my hands
"No it's okay I got it"
"You sure?" I frowned "I can grab those last 3" I pointed to the remaining ones still hanging on the wall
"No I appreciate it though I just don't want a handsome stranger knowing what car I drive" she joked
That was smart on her part I guess "alright then I'll stand guard till you come back?" I asked playfully leaning on one of the poles of the booth crossing my arms grinning
She smiled widely "okay you do that"
She came back a minute or so later hopping back over the counter "I'm Harry by the way" she turned lowering the largest canvas to the ground
"Alexis" she put the canvas on the counter "you don't come here often do you Harry?"
"Nope first time love"
She went about taking down the other 2 pieces "I've been here ,in this city, going on 3 months now been doing this fair since I moved here and knew I've never seen you"
Hopefully she'd be seeing me again
"Uh-" I started she hopped the counter and turned to face me "would you like to grab a drink with me?" I bit my lip
She shook her head "no thanks I don't drink"
I tried not to let my disappointment show I really thought she was interested
But just because a woman is nice to you doesn't mean she wants to f*ck get it together Harry
I leaned off the pole "no problem" I smiled lightly "it was nice talking with you"
"Yeah it was" she nodded "maybe I'll see you around?"
"Maybe" With that she turned and left
Now I really do need a drink
