What if the reason Grimm overblots is because he doesn't want MC/Yuu to leave? Like they've been together for so long and now they have to go... Anyone would be upset and like those emotions and the black rocks clashing? That would probably trigger an overblot of that level, that could probably kill humans but Grimm isn't human so he can kinda handle it. And maybe that's why the characters are wearing the ceremonial robes
