chapter 2 / the party

Jeds pov

I watched Hope walk away. I felt so bad about what happened , now when word gets out about me and her hanging out everyone's gonna think I'm a bad guy for hopping onto Landon's ex . I was honestly just trying to get Alyssa to notice me. I heard Kaleb asked her to the party tonight in the woods before I did so hopefully I can kill two birds with one stone, to help make Josie jealous of me Hope and get Alyssa to notice me . After I get to my room I try to find something nice to wear. I end up picking a nice plaid jacket, a black champion shirt and blue jeans. I check my phone and notice it's almost 8 so i start to head down to the cafe when i bump into Kaleb he

"Watch where you're going"

I knew that if i didn't walk away i would be late meeting Hope so i just continued walking.

"haha always knew you were soft but i had no idea how soft"

I wanted to walk away but before i could think of anything else i was holding kalebs against the wall and his throat was in my hand i wanted to snap his neck so bad before i heard someone yell at me

"Jed what are you doing"

hope asks she sounded so innocent I didn't do anything i just let him go and walked near Hope she tried to grabbed me but i elbowed her off and punched the wall she grabbed me again not giving me much choice and forced me into a hug i just held her for a couple minutes before asking if she was ready to go . we walk into the woods are hands touching lightly

"You wanna go get a drink"

Hope asked me and I nodded my head putting my arm over her shoulder walking over to the drink table . it was filled with booze from beer to hard liquor and jello shots . I saw kaleb walk in with the allysa pointing at me whispering something under his breath i went to walk over to him when i felt Hopes hand on my upper shoulder

"Your not going to start another fight with him right now you told me i was gonna have the time of my life now how am i gonna if i'm worried about you picking a fight with every vamp in this place"

I look over at Kaleb one more time and take a deep breath. Something about Hope's voice just calms me down. I have zero clue why but it does. I see Josie walk in the party with Penelope and Lizzie by her sides i look at hope dead in her eyes and moved some of her hair behind her ear and whisper

"Don't look but she's here with you know who we got this in the bag don't worry"

Hope smiled , she has such a beautiful smile . I hand her a jello shot and cheers and take it together .

"Now let's dance"

I take hopes hand and twirl her around and walk her to the dance floor but not before taking two beers to get this party started

Josie's pov

I walk out of my room and see Pen waiting for me. She was wearing a black sweater and black jeans. She grabs my hand and starts walking down the hall . she hadn't said or done anything till we were near the cafe.

"You okay ?''

She asked me if I was honestly really caught off guard by the question . Before I could answer I heard yelling from down the hall and pen both turned to look. It was Kaleb yelling at someone and we looked at eachother and started walking toward them as we got closer. I noticed it was Alyssa he was yelling at or should i say ranting to by the looks of it.

"That fucking annoying ass wolf rly doesnt want the smoke if he keeps testing i swear im a rip his heat out"

Kaleb says with so much anger in his voice . I didn't know who he was talking about . So I asked him.

"Kaleb who are you talking about?''

"Jed attacked me. I thought he was gonna kill me till Hope came , she said something to him and grabbed him and held him till he calmed down then he put his arm around her and they walked away."

Arm around her,  ,i kept thinking what if  the real reason she broke up with Landon was for Jed and not me . I took Penelope's hand and kissed it softly and led the way out to the woods. Pen was wearing a white Adidas crop top with light blue jeans and I was wearing a simple white shirt with leggings. I walk into the party and my eyes directly go toward Jed and Hope my heart sinks at the sight of him tucking a little strand of hair behind her ear. I noticed he whispered something into her ear but before I could say anything else . He handed her a beer and then spun her around and took her to the dance floor . I lost my sight on them but it was a good thing I was here with Penelope. I shouldn't be thinking of anyone else. Mg walked up to us and handed us a drink

A FEW HOURS LATER

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom i'll be back"

I say to Penelope, she had drank a decent amount but I had only been on my second drink for the night.

"Lemme go with you"

"No its fine stay with Mg it's okay i'll be back before you know it"

I knocked on the door and no answer but i heard someone in there knock again but then i listened closely to the door and heard throwing up without a second thought i opened the door to see Hope spewing into the toilet . I walked closer and moved her hair from her face as she threw up one more time . getting a little on her face i grabbed a piece of toilet paper

"Are you okay"

"Jed"

Hope tried to stand up but fell the second she put pressure on her legs

"Come on we're going"

"What no i want to party i need to find Jed"

"Hope i said were going"

" bossy i like it , but Jed will be looking or me"

"I'll text him were going to your room"

Hope nods her head , I put my arm around her to help her walk. We leave the bathroom and walk back outside. I saw Pen and she gave me the really? look but I just shot it off and continued  you walking till we got out of the woods and back to the school . but it wasn't easy, she was tripping over everything . but after a few minutes we make it to the room and she flips over on the bed and I hand her a few Tylenol and a bottle of water . i get the little trash bin from the bathroom and put it on the side of her bed .

"Where's your phone?''

"Why"

"So i can plug it in for you"

"You don't have to"

"Okay fine but is there anything you need me to before i go"

"So your telling me you made me leave the party and your not gonna hang with me"

Hope pats the side of the bed and motions for me to come and join her . I stood there just looking at her for a minute before jumping in on the side of her . she put the blanket over us and just stared at me for a minute. At this point I realized how tired I was .

"Your so beautiful jo'

I smiled ear to ear Hope words made me feel so warm i just wanted to lean in and kiss her but i knew that she was drunk and it would be wrong to do that to her especially if the rumors about her and jed are true .

"Im gonna go to sleep jo you can stay here for the night if you want"

" before you go to bed i just wanted to say I'm sorry about you having to walk in on me and Penelope before"

"Its okay''

A few minutes past i was almost out cold when i heard hope begin to talk

"Jo are you still up"

"No"

I muffled putting the blanket over my head '

"Well then i have to tell you something about penelope"

"Tell me in the morning hope i'm tired"

" no Josie its important"

I put my finger on her lips and said

"We will talk tomorrow i promise"
