The Puppet Tradition

All variants of puppet are motherly/fatherly/parently to at least one animatronic. This is referred to as The Puppet Tradition.

The Puppet is a mom friend in general, but is especially motherly to BB and JJ.

Phantom Puppet, despite being a suspected stalker and not talking often, is quite attached to Phantom BB.

Nightmarionne, despite acting like a child himself, will become kind and caring in a snap when Plushtrap is involved.

Security Puppet is protective in general, but becomes more emotionally protective when it comes to Molten Freddy.

Lefty is an emotionless boy, but you better not touch Helpy.
