I sighed, waiting for Tommy or my mother to walk through that door.

It was already noon, they should be here by now...

My ears perked up once I heard the bell above the floristry door ring. I ran out of my room to the shop, smiling as I greeted my friend.

My smile faltered as I saw his expression, however.

"Tommy, what's wrong?" I asked him.

"There was an attack..." He started. "Several people were locked outside the gates without any of the guards knowing...."

"Tommy, where are you going with this...?" I asked, fearing the answer.

"Well, the army of an enemy kingdom stabbed anyone outside the gates. The guards were able to drive them off, but...." He choked on a sob. "Several villagers were killed....your mother was one of them..."

I felt my world crumbling.

"She wanted you to have this."

I barely registered the item in my friends hand as I grabbed it.

It was a hand-made bee sort of plush.

"I'm so sorry..."

I shook my head and smiled sadly at my friend.

"It's alright, it's not your fault."

I kinda forgot that it was Thursday, ngl

Really short, which is funny considering this took forever to write.

Also, someone please threaten me to finish the epilogue. I haven't been working on it as much as i should.
