Alexa

When I reached the door what happened the other time I was in here flashed my memory and I waited for a while to clear my thoughts.

I promise myself to be vibrant and not behave weirdly. Taking a deep breath in and out, I knock on the door before walking into the manager's office.

"Good morning Mrs. Claudia" I greeted making sure I was standing straight and maintaining a classic face. I held the files tightly not letting it slip as my hands instantly became sweaty.

"Yea? " she raised her eyebrows expectantly, my look flustered.

"Yea, what? " I realised I just asked that, I bite my lips bowing my head.

Rude Bitch!

"Did you just...? " Mrs Claudia was asking.

"No, I'm sorry Mrs. Claudia... " I look at her, oh, it's clearly written on her goddam face, she wants me to pronounce all her names,

Seriously? I thought people find it 'old' to be addressed with their full names. The former manager preferred RITA, her first name.

Her full name was RITA DICKHEAD
I guess the reason was clear.

"Mrs. Claudia... moron.." I finally said not allowing it seem funny to me. I don't trust myself. I could burst out laughing now.

Her gaze dropped on the man sitting on the chair beside me, though I was standing.
"Good morning sir" I greeted, but he was too busy with his phone that he didn't respond, I caused him in my heart, refusing to look at his face to know who he is,

I fixed my eyes on Mrs. Claudia showing her the files, she was amazed at the way I and Clara did the job, yes, I could tell by the way a sweet smile settled on her lips.

My heart was joyed, the former manager would never be impressed with any work we do, even if we had to skip sleep or lunch, she'd still find fault in it and maybe get our ass fired. So, it was actually refreshing to see that this new one appreciated our work.

"Miss Alexa Luis, you and your colleagues has done a wonderful job, indeed I'm impressed! " she lashed out those words making my heart melt for joy.

I smile at her, yet wondering why this young man won't stop pressing that stupid phone of his, I know Clara would argue it's not my business but clearly he shouldn't have snubbed me.

I shouldn't have greeted him in the first place. I turned to leave.

"Mr. Alexander Moris, I'll call on my assistant to show you around the company right away" Mrs. Claudia told him.

I raised my eyebrow when I heard that name. It sounded familiar though. But people bear the same name, I shrugged and walked out.

Two weeks later

Uche walked into our office annoyingly, she dropped a box containing files on the ground, the loud thud jolted us, and we snapped our head to her direction.

She dragged a chair and sat down sulking, her hands crossed over her chest.

"What is it? " I asked her
