A Little Wicked by Valerie Broussard

"Who do you work for?!" He barked in my face as he held my hands sternly behind me.

"I- I work alone" I stuttered, seeing that he was already analysing his opinion about me.

That's exactly what I wanted.

"Then why are you here!" he shouted the same exact words for the umpteenth time since he caught me and I had to resist the urge to barf due to the smell of his breath.

He had something that looked like cheese stuck in his bushy beard, and his cold gray eyes held no life whatsoever. Not that I expected better.

Instead of answering him, I just looked around.

The old warehouse was almost broken down, and it really puzzled me as to why they did business here. But then again, they are vile creatures so why wouldn't they?

"Since you are not gonna answer me, I think I have a better alternative for you" He gritted out before planting handcuffs on my hands and pulling me towards the direction I had originally emerged from.

Finally.

"Wh-what are you gonna do to me?" I asked in my best scared voice as we stepped into the cold outside air.

A shiver ran down my spine as the cold metals rubbed against my wrists.

"You'll see soon enough" was all he said as he yanked me in the direction of a backyard.

Disappointment immediately dawned on me when I saw that he wasn't taking me to a car or anything to get away from here.

"You aren't taking me to your boss?" I asked, stopping dead in my tracks which halted his too.

He gave me an annoyed and stupid look before shaking his head and attempting to pull me again, but I didn't budge.

"Why not? Isn't he the one who is suppose to kill me for trespassing?" I basically bit out and dragged him back when he tried to pull me again.

"Becauuuuse..." He drawled annoyed, "It's safer when we do it. So if you had hoped to use that pretty little ass of yours to get out of punishment with the boss, think again"

I huffed in pure irritation and completely pulled myself from his grasp.

He looked taken aback by my strength, and if I wasn't so upset about the situation, I would've flashed him my signature smirk.

"Well you no longer have a purpose to me" I sneered then swiftly swung the cuffs around his neck.

He writhed and wiggled under my hold as I continued to squeeze the pathetic breath from his body. I would be doing the world a huge favour anyway.

Finally he stopped struggling, and I let his limp body fall at my feet. I searched for the keys of the cuffs and my gun that he had taken then quickly made my way to the woods.

I was so close to getting what I wanted.

I really thought I had this one in the box, but I was back at square one. Now all that's left for me to do is go home and find an alternative.

Somehow.

"Hey stop right there!" A voice called out, hindering my attempts to escape. I groaned, hating the fact that I would have to face other jackasses.
