It was now beginning to irritate her as to how even though she was the one holding a conversation with him, his attention was constantly at the curtain behind her.

"Taehyung, if we are going to work together, I expect you to atleast listen to me when I'm talking. How-"
Jennie was annoyed at this point even though she maintained her composure.

*SLURP, SLURP*

"What. The. Hell?!?!"

Jennie turned around, pulling the curtains aside as she heard the sound from behind it suddenly.

She could hear Taehyung struggling to hold his laugh in behind her as she looked at the man in front of her.

Her eyes widening as realisation struck her like a lightning.

It was KIM. SEOK. JIN.

quite literally, in flesh, eating cup ramen.

His eyes that had widened for a second at her suddenly pulling the curtains went back to normal again as he looked at her, half of his still stuck out before he slurped it in, chewing as he looked at the cat eyed woman.

Jennie was often unabashed, but here she suddenly wished that the ground would split open and swallow her up.

Or maybe to dig a hole, right there, say peace to the world and bury herself dead.

But neither was possible. She was Jennie Kim, her luck was the ultimate worst when it came to things like this.

"What - "
She turned around instantaneously, her eyes still wide, even though she was trying her best to stay calm and recollect her composure.

"You knew he was here? Sitting right behind me? "
She turned back to the other again.

"And why the hell are you here Kim?!"

Taehyung had almost subsided his laughter by now, as he took a deep breath before he could answer her, raising his hand in defense.

"This is the person I came to meet. He wasn't interested in showing his presence, that's why I had pulled the curtains before. "
He said now sitting at the edge of the bed, before speaking to Jin once.

"Your slurping was too loud hyung, I guess it was tasty, too bad we couldn't share the ramen"
He pouted cutely.

"Ah was it that loud? And look at you, asking to share a patient's food.. "
Jin complained with warmth in his eyes as he answered the younger member.

The two were suddenly conversing as if she was invisible, however she was quick to notice the warmth in his eyes leave as soon as he turned to face her.

What a change of tone.
She thought as she heard him speak to her.

"Of course I'm here for treatment "
Jin shrugged nonchalantly, neatly wiping his mouth with a paper tissue before dropping it along with the empty ramen bowl into the trash nearby.

"But there's no one to help here... And you didn't make single noise... It's almost... "
She didn't suspect his wounds, of course not as she could clearly see the bandages on his hands and neck, it just didn't make sense.

Because they seemed the ones that had Jisoo grumble and scowl when she got such cuts.

"almost like.....you were.... eavesdropping"
Jennie was slowly gaining her composure back as she managed to utter those words.

For some reason, she felt the pressure of standing in front of a superior authority and not just another agent.

"I wasn't.
