I wiped the sweat from my brow, my energy having returned. I stand. I had removed my hoodie and neatly folded it and put it on one of Sarada's bag. While I had caught my breath, Sarada was still flat on her back wheezing.
"Obito pass me a bottle of water, would ya?" She asked, sitting up.
I rummage through the bag with the pink accents and retrieved a cold bottle of water. I tossed it to her and she caught it, not bothering to look.
"Show off." I mumble.
"Don't get mad just because you can't do it." She smirked.
I sighed. The sun had long since risen. It was nearly directly over head now. In the past four hours, Sarada had me do what she calls "Mirror training". Using my sharingan to copy what I see. Despite how well it works, it's not magic. There are limits. I couldn't copy any of the lightning style jutsu she showed me because I'm garbage with lightning nature techniques. I was able to copy all of her fire style jutsu and use them well. I've gotten the basics of wind style as well. I was able to copy her taijutsu skill, which she had just copied from Guy. I heard rustling grass. I turn to see Sarada, on her feet, sweat dripping from her chin.
"Good work, Obito."
"Thanks" I mumbled.
"I could've done so much more, though" I thought.
Sarada toweled off and redonned her sweater.
"We're done. Half a day has past."
"Jeez what the hell am I gonna do for the other half of the day?" I sighed.
"Umm work on your social life."
"My social life won't mean anything when I become Hokage!!"
"I think your friends might want to see you. Rin and Kakashi are probably on their way here right now."
"Why?"
"We're going to Minato's place for lunch today." Sarada revealed.
"Why the hell are you signing me up for stuff?!" I asked, a bit annoyed.
"You don't want to eat with your friends?" She asked, sarcastically.
"I do. Its just that no one came to me about it. On top of that, I could get so much more training done today. I'm not even tired."
"We've been training for four hours and you're not tired??"
"No. Recovery powers remember?"
"Well, I'm beat and I'm starved, so we're going!"
"Fine!!"
We met up with Kakashi and Rin and get lunch at Minato's. Kushina's cooking is godly, as usual. We speak of my mirror training and Kakashi and Minato took particular interest. Sarada nudged me in a way as if to say "Let's go."
"Hold on" I looked to Minato.
"I wanna learn the flying thunder god jutsu!!"
Minato's eyes widened. Looking around the table, he wasn't not alone in that. I look him in his eyes, praying my determination gets through My mobility is one of my biggest weaknesses.
"We can talk about that later, Obito, now go. I'm sure you've got somewhere to be." He waved me away.
"What the hell is going on?" I blurted.
