Chapter 1

"It was entirely dark. But all that was seen was the remaining of a small blue flame and a little girl who went by the name KC, in short for her name which nobody in the area knew" said Amaya, sitting on her desk in her office. "Really? You wanna put that up on the internet Amaya?" I said. "Oh come on! Dont be such a buzzkill hon. Plussssss I haven't even added your real name". "Why do even wanna write a story about me anyway?" I asked her. "KC come on! The world deserves to know how your parents died saving their only daughter"

"It's been 12 years Amaya. Im sure that some of them have already forgotten about them. But I never will. Honestly, reading your story actually reminded me of how amazing Mom and Dad were. Anyway I better get going. Chief's asked me to meet him at 5." said I. "K, see ya later hon" said Amaya, walking me towards her door and hugging me.

You might have guessed that I'm the girl named KC. Well, yeah, that's me. My name is Kiara Callisto, a totally ordinary 18 year old, living her life in Los Angeles. Well, im not 'totally ordinary' at all. I'm a spy. It's true, im living my life but I haven't spent my entire life in LA. I was actually born in New York. Ever since my parents died, I have been staying with Amaya. Her parents and mine were good friends since they met in spy school and they've been taking care of me for 10 years. Amaya is the office's best junior writer and my best friend. And right now, i'm walking to Chief Collin's Tower. Chief's a big old bear though.

"Howdy KC! How've you been! Sit down!" he said in the worst cowboy accent EVER. "Good evening to you too Chief" I said with a laugh. I'm usually not the girl who giggles for every small reason, but you cannot help laughing at how Chief loves speaking in his fake cowboy accent. "KC, today I have to tell you something important. You're getting transferred to the NYC department" "...what?"

"Kiara I know it's gonna be hard for you to go back there. But they need you." he said and got up. "Chief yea it'll be hard but I guess I have let it go one day or another. I'll go. What do they need me for anyway?" "You'll know all that in a minute"
