"She's sick today" "Oh my! I just remembered, I thought there's an extra medicine in the fridge. She can't go out today"
Yamaguchi slowly opened his eyes and checked the time. He woke up more earlier before the alarm. He got ready and went out.
"Y/n wake up! It's not weekend today, stop the laziness. We have to go earlier" B/f/n yelled. As Y/n got up she sneezed, B/f/n touched her forehead "You have a fever" suddenly she whacked her back
"I told you never to forget your scarf when you go out, you know you're too sensitive in a cold-weather you dumbass" she scolded.
"I'll make you a soup before I leave. Make sure to eat it okay? Just lay down there" Y/n nodded as her best friend wrapped her a blanket. B/f/n had finished getting ready for school "Are you sure you're okay? I'm just not gonna go if you don't" B/f/n asked while changing. "I'm okay, I'm okay. I can take care of myself" Y/n replied.
"There's a medicine in the fridge, make sure you would take it. Understand?" she said before she left.
As soon as she went out, Yamaguchi unexpectedly appeared. "Oh! Why you here?" B/f/n asked. "I was just thinking about if you, me, and Y/n could walk together to school. So I decided to pick you two up," he replied while hiding the plastic bag he was holding behind his back.
"Huh? But what about Tsukishima aren't you two shoul- nevermind the truth is, she's sick today you can go inside and check her. It's not that late anyway" Yamaguchi nodded.
After that, B/f/n left and Yamaguchi entered. He went to the kitchen first to put the medicine in the fridge then he went to Y/n's room to wake her.
Y/n was surprised that Yamaguchi was in her room "Oh! How did you get in here?!" she asked. "B/f/n told me that you're sick and to go here so I just got worried. So before I leave I want to see you eat and take medicine" they both flustered. 'That asshole' Y/n said to herself.
"A-aren't you going to eat now?" he asked. "Uhm yeah!" Y/n stood up. Yamaguchi wanted to assist her but she refused not just she gets too flustered but she owed him a lot already so, she got shy too.
Yamaguchi pulled a chair for her to sit and served her a soup. He waited for her to finish, then he gets the medicine from the fridge and a glass of water for her.
As she finished, Yamaguchi assisted her to the bed. She laid down and he wrapped a blanket on her then placed a cooling pad on her forehead, then he placed extra pads on the nightstand.
Y/n drifted to sleep then, Yamaguchi went to school and he saw Tsukishima at the entrance "Sorry Tsukki, I had to take care of something"
"Or someone?" Tsukishima teased and Yamaguchi blushed. "Is it she again?" he nodded. "Can't you just ask her out already?" Tsukishima said as they walk to class and Yamaguchi told him what he dreamt about last night.
The practice was about to start when Yamaguchi approach Daichi "Oh Yamaguchi! Why can't you change yet we're starting in a minute" Daichi said. "Uhm Daichi-san can I not practice today?"
"Why?"
"YAMAGUCHI HAVE A DATE! YAMAGUCHI HAVE A DATE!" Nishinoya and Tanaka chanted.
"SHUT UP!" Daichi scolded.
"Y/n is sick today and her friend asked me to look after her. She would not able to do that today because she has to go to the hospital today." Yamaguchi said. "YAMAGUCHI IS DATING Y/N! YAMAGUCHI IS DATING Y/N!" they chanted again but they received a smack from Sugawara.
"Sure! Take care of your girlfr- I mean her" Daichi said and without hesitation, he instantly went to Y/n's house.
As Yamaguchi barged in, he went to the kitchen to drop some food on the table. Suddenly, he noticed Y/n went out of the bathroom wearing only a towel, she immediately rushed to her room. "Sorry, I didn't say that I'm here!" he yelled as they were flustered. "That was hot," he said. "What's hot?" Y/n asked as she came to him and sat on the chair. "Are you sick too?"
"No! No! I just feel hot" he flustered harshly. "You change fast," he said, as they both chuckled. Yamaguchi served her [favorite food] to her "Woah! It's been a while since I eat this. Thank you, this is my favorite" Y/n exclaimed. She invited him to eat with her as she smiling while eating, Yamaguchi's eyes sparkled.
When they were done eating, Y/n took her medicine. "Follow me!" she said and both went to the bedroom. Y/n opened her drawer and grabbed her thin-sketch pad to hand it to him. "Look" she commanded.
They both sat down on her bed as Yamaguchi opened at the sketch pad. He saw a lot of drawings of him, he can't help to smile "You are so great at drawing"
"That's the only payback that I could do since, you helped me a lot these days" Yamaguchi reached the end of the page and saw a different drawing "That's my parents" Y/n spoke. "I also have a painting of them over there" she pointed at the painting in a photo frame standing on the nightstand.
"I want to ask, how it happen that you live with your best friend?" Yamaguchi asked.
"When my parents died when I was in middle school because someone poisoned them but the criminal got caught. She was the one who comforted me when I was so depressed back then. When we graduated from middle school she decided to live with me. Her parents were so kind tho so they allowed her also, just in case I would do suicidal things, someone is watching me. Since then, I have become happy, she makes me happy even she's annoying sometimes. But she's like a sister for me and she's the only family I have"
"The criminal was so dumb. He mistook my parents for someone so he poisoned the wrong person" "But when I missing them I just draw them so I won't feel alone" she added.
Yamaguchi laid her head on his shoulder and patted her, she fell asleep. He laid her on the bed and wrapped a blanket then checked her temperature "Seems you got better now"
B/f/n arrived and entered the room she was about to say something but Yamaguchi cut her off "Shhh! She's sleeping" he whispered. "Isn't your time to go home now? It's night already" B/f/n said. "Really? Time flies fast. Well I'll be going now, I'll leave her to you"
"Yeah! Thank you" she bowed at him "No problem" he replied and went home.
"Seems like someone is taking care of you. Now I can leave without worries"
