"is there anything wrong, emma?"

THREE

"you look pale.." she gazed at emma, with a murderous aura.
"and it seems, you weren't the same this morning.."

she held the back of emma's ear, where her tracker was.
"i.." the much younger child hesitated with her words.

"it's nothing." isabella loosened her grip, but is still suspicious.
"it's just.. i kept thinking.. -

that i'd have to leave the house one day, it.. makes me feel sad.."

isabella's eyes seem to calm down at the comment,
"you, like it here at the house?"

"i love being here with you mama!"
emma exclaimed as she hugged isabella.

"conny.. she's probably happy with her family now.."

isabella stared at emma, does she know? probably..
emma broke up the hug to say something once again.

"she said she wanted to be a mama like you once she's grown up!"

isabella smiled. "yes, i was told that too.
i'm certain she will grow up to be a lovely lady and..
a better mother."

emma seemed to think about isabella's words,
until a noise came from the other halls.

"dinner is done being prepared, mom."

they looked over to the direction of where they heard the sound.
"alright, you can now go ray. i'll be there soon."

norman pretended to had just gotten there, "emma!
let's head there now."

a step.. and another after..-

"were, you two at the gate yesterday?"

the pair seemed to stop at their tracks,
yet norman thought of a solution.

"we didn't mom. we had a lot of fun playing tag
so we went to rest as soon as possible.

and plus, we don't wanna see conny go."

isabella held her sigh, "yes.. after all if you were there
surely you wouldn't have let her go so easily."

the duo put up a smile,

and continued down their steps.

emma fell down, her features were that of shock and
with her knees hitting the floors of the house quite harshly.

as norman held on stairs for support,
as he breathed in and out.

"emma, are you able to stand?" he held out his hand.

she took it and they smiled,
we will get out of this house.

[reader and leslie]

"hey leslie, are you going to show me the tune?"
[name] asked. to be honest she was curious,
but she didn't want to pressure him.

"i.. uh.. of course, maybe
at our place tommorow."

he stammered, he was delighted to see [name]
curious about his song- or tune, whatever you call it.

but he was nervous, he didn't want her to feel..
like a burden, since he has been hiding the song for a while.

if he was really being honest, the real reason he's nervous.
is because he dedicated it to her. all for her.

his first friend.

atleast, that's what he thinks of her,
for now.

"sounds good." the girl gave thumbs up.
while leslie gulped with his freckled cheeks flushing.

"can you tell me about that drawing?
you've been doing it for quite some time and,

you seem.. to be very focused about it, [name]."
he was trembling in what would be her answer,
hoping he didn't offend her.

yet his words only made her feel appreciated,
"oh! this..? it's a sketch of us! me and you, together."

she held out the drawing with no shame,
she was proud to be a part of leslie's life.

[name]'s happy with her life,
even if she doesn't show it. as long as she's with leslie.

everything's alright.
