Lawrence Talbot's POV: years slowly went by and now I was all grown up and in theater it was what I always wanted to do I was fortunate to be discovered by a friend of mine Clive Thomas he saw me performing a play at Carlton Academy and decided to be my manager Mason was there with me as well and I was grateful for that he was backstage with Clive watching me performing after the play was over I bowed and acknowledged the audience then went backstage to my dressing room Mason greeted me on my way to dressing room when I got to the dressing room Clive was already there he was pouring two glasses of wine he handed me the glass of wine and we cheered and drank the wine

Well here's to the future of acting Clive said holding his glass

I sat down taking a sip of my wine as I did Mason came up laying his head down into my lap I gently petted him as I sipped on my wine afterwards I decided to head back to my hotel room it was freezing cold in New York I started coughing a little bit

I just have a little bit of cough I thought to myself walking to the hotel

I continued coughing and my nose was running I could not really breathe through it I felt flushed my face was red and my head ached I had hoped that I was not becoming sick when we arrived at the hotel I could barley walk as soon as we got to the room I started feeling dizzy and Mason sensed something was wrong so he lead me to the bed and I passed out cold he draped the covers over me and jumped up onto the bed and curled up beside me a little while later I woke up still feeling sick I heard Clive coming into the room

How are you feeling Lawrence? Clive asked

I'am still feeling sick I replied sitting up I coughed a little bit as I sat up

Clive walked over and felt my forehead and I could tell that he knew that I was sick he summoned the doctor and doctor examined me Mason was getting anxious about what was going on with me after the doctor examined me Mason jumped up onto the bed and curled up beside me after a couple days I was back to my old self even though I still had a terrible cough I was sitting in the parlor room in a chair by the fireplace going over my lines when Mason came into the room I looked over at him and smiled softly he walked over and laid his head down into my lap I gently stroke his fur and continued reading my lines after awhile Mason nudged my hand whining softly

What? I asked wondering why he did that

He continued to nudge my hand whining softly so I thought that maybe he was wanting my attention he walked over and grabbed his favorite ball and dropped it into my lap

I suppose you want me to throw it huh? I said holding his favorite ball up

He barked happily wagging his tail so I threw the ball a couple of times afterwards I decided to go to bed I coughed a little bit as I was getting into bed I pulled out a little pocket sized picture frame of me my brother Ben and our mother oh how I miss them my brother Ben remained with my father Sir John Talbot when I was sent to live with my aunt Patricia in America our mother died not long after the picture was made Mason sensed that I was upset he jumped up onto the bed and curled up beside me he licked my face a little bit as if he was trying to cheer me up I gently stroke his fur while he laid his head down on my chest I fell asleep with Mason curled up by my side and I was happy to have Mason by my side through everything
