Chapter 13

The next day......later that day

Davina's pov

I've just arrived back from school which was shit. People kept making snide comments at me calling me a slut and all that so I snapped and told them to fuck off and get a life.

It's so frustrating that people can be so childish yet so cruel about something they know nothing about. They know I'm a mother but they don't know how I got pregnant or anything about my life, they know nothing so it really pisses me off that people feel they have the right to judge me.

"Mama!" Dove squeals as my dad walks out from the living room with Dove in his arms. "There's my baby girl" I coo as I walk over and take her from my dad.

I hold her against my chest and cuddle her "I missed you sweetheart" I coo running a hand through her hair as I kiss her forehead, rocking her back and forth in my arms.

"Are you okay?" my dad asks looking concerned as he sees I'm looking a bit down. "Yeah I'm fine, I just had a tough day at school" I respond making him frown. "But it's fine I handled it" I say before he can say anything and I head upstairs to get ready for work.

"Okay baby girl you sit here and play with your toys" I say placing her down on the floor after shutting the door behind me.

I smile at her as she starts playing with the blocks, stacking one on top of the other as I head into my walk in wardrobe. I leave the door open so I can still see Dove.

I strip out of my clothes and pull on a pair of black  so jeans followed by a navy blue lace tank top. I then put on the Mystic Grill shirt that all employees must wear.

I slip on a pair of black converse and pull my hair up into a pony tail, I also throw on a jacket before heading out the wardrobe. "Ta da!" Dove squeals throwing her arms up in the air as she finishes making a tower out of the building blocks making me giggle.

"Aww wow clever girl baby" I coo clapping my hands as I bend down to pick her up. I give her a kiss on the forehead before grabbing my bag and phone as I leave the room.

I walk downstairs and head to the living room where my dad and uncle are. "Right I'm heading off to work now. Are you two sure you're okay with minding Dove for me?" I ask making them look up. "We've already told you we're fine with it" my dad replies as he walks over and takes Dove from me. "I know it's just you already looked after her for six hours today and I'm leaving her in your hands for another four hours" I respond causing my uncle to shrug his shoulders.

"We really don't mind. We like spending time with this little cutie" my uncle replies making me sigh "alright well you know to call me if any trouble comes up" I say "yes, we know the drill now get your butt to work" my uncle replies pointing to the door. "Alright bye you two and bye baby girl, I'll be home later" I say giving Dove a kiss on the cheek before walking out the living room and leaving the house.

I walk over to my car, get in and start up the car. I check all my mirrors and I check how much gas I have in my tank which I find is all good so I don't need to stop and get gas. I slowly start backing out of the driveway and pull out onto the road and drive off down the road heading to work.

10 minutes later...

I arrive at the Mystic Grill and I quickly park my car round the back. I shut off the engine and get out, shutting the door and I lock the car.

I then walk round to the front and head inside. "Hey Matt" I say giving him a wave as I walk passed him, heading towards the back room.

I enter the back room which is where employees place their bags and stuff during their shifts. I walk over to my locker and place my stuff inside before shutting it making it automatically lock.
