16: A Friend Date?

Daein and Jungwon were partners for the Science project given today. What bothers Daein is that, If Jungwon won't help should she tell Ms. Woo or not for the sake of his grade? That bothers Daein so much. She knew there was a problem with Jungwon but how should she ask without being rude?

"Hey Daein! Is there anything bothering you?" Mark asks with concern since I was quiet the whole time

"Oh? I'm sorry not at all!"

"Really? You do a pouty face when something is bothering you or you are sad. Is my baby sister sad?"
Mark tells Daein as she gets confidence to ask her older brother a question

"It's just there is this boy, I need to meet him-" Mark cuts me off and starts to rap

"NO! You will not be meeting him. Give me his phone number, his birthday, his age, where he lives, his family business, his hierachy status and his personality." Mina hits him with a pillow bringing Mark to turn to his sister

"WhAaAaaAtTtT? What the hell is it now Mina?"

"Mom didn't ask that when we meet our opposite gender friends. Stop being a over protective brother and let her explain." Mina tells Mark as he calms down

"I will meet this guy for a project. I think something is wrong with him? Cause he is so quiet or too quiet. I wonder if he even breathes. Me, Dohyun and Wonyoung saw him smiling brightly at us but after I complimented him, his smile faded in seconds." I explain to them with nervous hand gestures

"Why don't you date him?" Mark suggests as he plays with his phone while Mina glares at him. I raise my eyebrow at him and look at Mark weirdly

"What he meant is a friend date. You guys will get together, go out and have fun. When is the deadline of the project?" Mina explains to me as she types something on her laptop

"Ummm 2 months from now? Its a short time to care for an animal."
Mina and Mark look at me in fear. The became restless and panicked filling their head with scenarios

"WHAT ANIMAL?!" They say in sync as fear was sensible in their voice

"I don't know? Ms. Woo will send it to our house."

Today is the day, its friday. Ms. Woo told us this is the day to know our partners before she sends the animal on Sunday

"Hi Daein." Jungwon's soft voice greets me. He came with his bright outfit and was very smiley

"Oh hi Jungwon! What do you want to do today as our friend date?" He looked so happy and started jumping around

"OHHHH I FOUND THIS MOVIE TO WATCH! WE COULD ALSO PLAY IN THE AMUSEMENT PARK AND EAT AT FOOD STALLS! ISN'T THAT GREAT?" I stare at him happily. He isn't quiet, Jungwon just thinks no one will like him if he was himself i guess?

"Oh I'm sorry. Was I being too loud again?"

"No! You weren't! Let's go?" He smiles brightly once again and leads me to the mall near our school

"Oh? I'm sorry you're probably not used to walking. Do you want us to get a taxi?" Jungwoon tells me in a gentle manner

"NO!" He was startled from my response. Jungwon just stared at me while walking in a slower pace

"I was just- no, I'm fine walking."

"What movie do you have in mind?"
