I got into my apartment and was instantly greeted by a overly joy Charlie, I crouch down to pet him but was instantly ignored as he went to greet Matthias, I turn around glaring at Matthias and down at Charlie as he was occupied up on mathias and trying to lick his face.
Matthias looked at me with a nervous smile, I felt betrayed as I kept glaring at them "Hey boy, I miss you too buddy" Charlie cried of happiness as he wagged his tail faster. I clear my throat which seems to snap them out and that's when Charlie came my way "Oh so now you want to acknowledge me huh boy" I scratch behind his ears.
I looked up at Matthias as he was standing by the door looking around, he looked like he didn't know what to do but stood there, I stood up and walked to the kitchen "want anything to drink?" I ask as I open the fringe door "just water please".
I put the water in the kitchen island, I pointed at it as if telling him to come in since he was still standing by the door without moving and just looking around.
"Before we start, I don't want you to lie to me or sugar coat things just tell me straight up"
"Okay" he drank some of his water "Alright, whenever you're ready" I grabbed a chair and sat down ready to listen, I was still having some mixed feelings about this. I don't know if I was doing the right thing, probably not or maybe yes but I just really wanted to know.
"That day that we were supposed to tell the world about us, I was going to tell people but the once I was dancing with Daniela she kissed me, I was shocked because well I didn't know she was going to do that and well then I saw you ran out and I just stood there" he drank more water clearly nervous.
"I went after you but clearly late someone was already with you, I saw Claire too and well she slapped me which I deserved and I understood why. I backed off a little because I knew you needed it when I saw you leave our home with Charlie and your bags" he stopped and looked up at me. He stretched his hands across the island and grabbed my left hand.
"I understood the damage I had caused at that moment, not being there for you when you needed me, when I chose my job over you, when I didn't stand up for you and put boundaries to Daniela...That day I ask her what was she was doing there, since I never told her where I lived, after I push her she finally crack and told me everything, I am so sorry Aura"
Tears burn my vision as I look at him not being able to talk or to ask anything, after a moment of silence as we look into each other eyes I finally talked "so what do you want me to do? You let her close to you the way that it was supposed to be me" my voice cracked at the end.
I was still hurt. I still loved him and I wanted him to give the benefit of the doubt and right now is like putting myself out there by forgiving him that maybe I would get hurt again "baby listed, behind doors it was platonic, I didn't touch her or kissed her like I did you, unless it was on screen. Yes we were touchy when we went out but it was just an advertisement for the movie but I never lay fingers on her the way that I touch you never Aura never" tears ran down my eyes "When she tried to go further than what we agreed with our managers I told her that I already had someone, of course she told me she understood but I guess she didn't since well she tried to hurt you".
"W-what about the kiss?" I broke our skin contact and hugged myself giving myself some comfort "like I said I was shocked as you, that was the first time she...she ever did that. I told her that day what our plans where and I told my manager, after her mood was off but I guess her plans where to hurt you since I guess she found out you were going to be there" I nodded,I stood up and felt dizziness consume me I grabbed the island before i could hit the ground.
"Aura!!" I heard the chair screech on the floor then I felt his arms around me as he held me up. " I am o-okay" I talk but the world was still spinning in my eyes, what was happening to me "I don't think you are Aura let go to the hospital or something"
"No, no I am okay" I pushed him away and tried to walk but as soon as I took the first step my body collapsed but before I could hit the ground my body was being picked up and I was met with a chest and his cologne.
"Matthias no" I weakly push on his chest "Stop Aura, you aren't feeling well at least let me do this for you, please" and I did.
He lay me down on my couch and left but came back with a glass of water, he help me sat down and gave me the glass to drink "Thank you" I whisper " it's fine baby, anything for you"
"Please stop, don't...don't make it hard for me" he nodded " don't think about it right now just rest for now okay"
"Okay" he kiss my temple and stayed like that for a minute "matthias please"
"Yes, yes I know I am sorry" he back away but sat on the floor next to the couch as charlie came our way and started to lick his face, he chuckled and pet him and scratch behind his ears "mommy isn't feeling well so you have to take care of her once I leave" he bark and lick his face "I know boy, I will miss you too but I will be back for her and this time I won't let her go that easily" he bark and lick his face again making him laugh.
Minutes past until I feel better that's when he left and I was left alone again in my apartment with Charlie, he look sad too but he later forgot and was happy and barking again every time he hear someone outside of our door, I guess he is taking this 'taking care of me' to serious...cute.
