you gasp at the sudden pull
of your hands, urging you to
crouch down to their height.

"hey! don't listen to 'tsumu!
did he tell you that?"

minato
"he said you were smelly
this morning!"

minato shouts, rather enthusiastically.

makoto
"it's okay! we still love you."

keiji akaashi
"stop bullying auntie
y/n."

you brighten up at the sound
of a familiar voice.

y/n
"keijiii!"

you stand up promptly at the
sound of his voice.

"why did you bring these
monsters with you?"

minato
"smelly y/n! we aren't monsters!
we're dinosaurs!"

you receive a wide toothed grin from
minato, showing his pearly whites --
minus the gaps from his missing baby
teeth.

makoto
"yeah...look at our tops!
i stuck dino stickers on with
uncle kou."

you crouch down to pat the two boys'
heads, in a fairly better mood than before.

minato was the more outspoken one,
whereas makoto was quieter, and a little
timid. that said, they were quite a handful
to look after, especially alone.

keiji akaashi
"kou's sister is on her honeymoon,
so we've been babysitting the boys."

keiji akaashi
"i'm away for the weekend, and kou
has an important event to attend, so
we needed a babysitter...but their last
one quit."

"away? are you finally visiting
family?"

keiji akaashi
"i wish. work has me
by my neck right now."

he runs his hands through
his hair, with a coarse laugh.

his exhaustion was visible, and
there was a slouch in his usual
stance.

"their babysitter quit? what?
she seemed nice enough..."

keiji akaashi
"yeah, but minato got upset
and poured his drink over her
head last time, so she doesn't
want to come back. i don't blame
her."

keiji akaashi
"i can't find anyone who will
take them on such short notice,
and i don't trust kuroo."

you study his growing eyebags,
and can't help but sympathise.

you knew he'd be too awkward
to ask straightforwardly, so you
took the initiative to volunteer.
