5. The past isn't always behind us...

... FIRST BATTLE : BATTLE OF TROST DISTRICT, PART 1 ...

In the year 845, the Colossal Titan and the Armored Titans appeared out of nowhere. Instantly, the walls were shattered, along with the illusory peace of everyday life. Humanity abandoned Wall Maria. They lost twenty percent of its population and a third of its territory, as human activity was used back to Wall Rose. Then, in year 850... Mankind's counterattack begins now!

In a finger snap, everything just went down... After all those years leaving "peacefully"... Joining the Scouts Training, living with my twin brother, my adoptive sister and my best friend, getting stronger and stronger as I learned how to fight in many kind of ways... Learning how to use the 3DMG, how to manage swords and daggers, how to handle a hand to hand fight... Learning about myself as well... Learning about a physical and mental strength I didn't know I had...

Over the years, I grew up becoming more patient, more determined, more dependent, and I grew stronger physically and mentally. Though, it's not because I grew up into this young woman today that I don't need my family and friends with me. I need them to keep going. And depending on the situation, I need them to be as strong as I can be. That's one more thing I've learned during those past five years. Being alone, it's right, but not all the times...

On top of the Wall, Eren and I are staring at the Colossal Titan with rage and hate while this one is glaring at us. Those eyes... The same ones I saw five years ago. I should be scared... I should run away from it... I know what it can do... And yet, I don't feel that fear. I don't have that rational voice telling me to run away for my life. It happened once with Wall Maria in the District of Shiganshina where I unfortunately couldn't do anything since I was a kid and weak... And I dreamed this exact right moment last night... I couldn't do much in my dream either. It's like it was showing me this right moment to prepare me for combat, to fight... And that's what I'm going to do. I intend to fight! With two déjà vu, I should be prepare to not make the same mistakes again...

Suddenly, everything went so fast... The Colossal Titan raises its right hand in the air, taking some momentum before bringing it back towards us at full speed. Hell no...! Still on top of the wall, my brother and I are sprinting from one side to the other, trying to avoid the giant reddish and steamy hand coming toward us. It wants to grab and eat us or smash us like an insect? By the sight of the hand, I'd say it wants to smash us... Every cannon that we were cleaning and preparing minutes ago will be wrecked in only a second. Why is everything always going so fast? It didn't take long until it crashes its hand on top of the wall made of stone. It creates a strong earthquake, damaging and ruining absolutely everything on its way. Alright, it's now! With Eren, the two of us jump down in the void, using our 3DMG attached on the back of the Titan to get something to grip onto. I use the gas to propel myself forward. With the speed, I can feel the wind slapping my face and my hair flying back. I grimace with the same rage and hate as I am now flying in the air, high above the Titan. The 3DMG is still attached to its back. Huh...? Looking at the scene on the wrecked wall, something attracts my sight. The cannons... It took out all of them, not sparing a single one... Why? Was it after the fixed cannons? Oh... Then, it's no coincidence it went for the gate either... It... It planned it... It has intelligence!

All of a sudden, I see the Colossal Titan rising its hand towards me, its aim being to grab me. I gasp in surprise as the shadow of its hand is now covering me. No! I can hear my twin brother shouting my name with fear all while I release my 3DMG from the Titan's back and throw it onto this thing's arm to fly the other way around, avoiding its hand. I'm not giving up so fast! The heat coming from its body... It's so warm! I can feel sweat rolling down my face and back just by being this close to it. This is our chance! He's the only one that can take out the wall! Without him, the Titans are nothing! And we're going to take it down! I land on the arm of the Titan and begin sprinting towards its head. It'll be done soon now! Using my 3DMG again, I jump in the void and propel myself with the gas as I take some momentum. The back of his neck... That's my goal! Suddenly, a shadow flies over me. I look up all while staying concentrated on the Colossal Titan and notice that my brother has quite a good momentum. Team work... That's what we have to do to take this thing down.
