"Acceptance..."
As soon as Jimin saw the envelope, his entire body shiver with the amount of emotion running through his head... He always knew that this day would come, but even so, he doesn't want to believe that Jungkook will truly marry someone else apart from him...
And do you know what else is funny?
Is that fact he truly hope that Jungkook wouldn't find someone for himself before he turned 30, so that he will finally ask Jimin to marry him and be with him forever...
But his wish will never come true anymore...
Cause behind this beautiful red envelope is the entourage of Jungkook's wedding, and the latter choose him to be his Best Man...
Fucking perfect right?
Jungkook is quite busy in his work load lately... Ever since Jimin became the Senior Researcher of the Institute three years ago, their boss assigned him to be the Head Researcher of their department, and when you say Head, it means a pile full of work... So here he is, encoding new data about Proxima Centauri from the southern constellation of Centaurus.
His job demands him to stay in his office even longer, (probably six days a week) which is kinda sad considering the fact that he'll be marrying his girlfriend in less that two months... He is always thankful for her wide understanding and patience, since she handled the entire wedding preparations alone...
At that time, he wishes that his best friend is there with him... Whenever something came up, Jimin is the one who usually covers for him... That his best friend never got mad when he asked for favor to do his part in their work... If only Jimin didn't leave for Busan, maybe the latter would cheer him up and invite him for a cup of coffee... And that's what he misses about him the most...
"I hope that you can attend my wedding, Jiminie... I misses my best friend so much and I wouldn't enjoy my day without you as my best man..." He sighed while looking at their graduation photos together. "It seems like it was yesterday... I wonder what the old Jungkook would say if he knew that in the near future, he will marry someone apart from his best friend? Maybe he will scold me for not fulfilling his promise with his best friend..." He gave a small smile at the thought before proceeding to work again.
Nine straight days of hectic work load and Jungkook didn't know if he can still continue his coffee binge and sleepless nights... His entire body will collapse any time soon from fatigue, yet there are still two more presentations with their Senior Astronomers and the press... He didn't know if he will be able to present the data chart in front of everyone, but he has too... He worked hard on the process and this shortcomings won't stop him from anything...
Most especially not in front of his best friend who emailed him the night before, saying:
Hey Jungkook, it's me Jimin...
I know that you might probably working on your data sheets, and I'm not going to bother you anymore. I just wanna tell you that I'll be in Seoul for the presentation and press conference of our institute, and I'll be rooting for you the whole time... If ever you need someone to ask anything, just hit me up... I'm one message away...
Take care Kook and see you soon...So he shouldn't fuck it up...
He wanted Jimin to know that he grew as a Researcher too... That he worked hard to at least be able to stand beside him and call him his best friend...He was so busy with his thoughts that his eyes suddenly blur with his head spinning, making him passed out...
