VINNIE KNEW that him and cher were on good terms, and there wasn't any reason for them to fight. there wasn't even any reason to be jealous, he didn't actually know if cher and charli were together or not. however, he did know that charli had a crush on cher for a long time, and cher, was just plain nice. vinnie remembered when she told him she had never rejected anyone, and would go on a date with anyone who asked simply because she was so nice.
and, charli was cher's best friend. if she rejected charli, she might've lost a great friend.
so, vinnie decided to assume that cher got sucked into some sort of relationship with charli.
