5. Purple fireworks exploded into the sky, making the dog yelp and hide under the bed.
6. Yellowed t-shirts hung limply from the clothing line.
7. The brown smear on her pants told me all I needed to know about her first day at school.
8. Green sparks shot out, one fizzing with a surprising iciness against my skin.
9. A black heart was tattooed on his chest, over where his real one should have been.
10. Red and orange splotches of rust covered the machine.
11. Green and purple swirls danced with each other when I closed my eyes.
12. The yellow wallpaper with its pale white flowers made my skin prickle.
13. Yellow tulips drooped from the vase.
14. Grey eyes flicked with amber stared back at me.
15. A jaundiced, sour aura had settled around her.
16. A small pink bicycle, clearly meant for a child, lay across the sidewalk.
