You walk up the stairs and right at the top he turns left, leading you to his room. The room is quite normal, doesn't really have that much decorations in it, just a bed, desk, and a bookshelf covering the entire left side of the room filled with ancient books. You look around the room, only to stop at the books. Fascinated you take a few steps closer, letting your eyes glide over all the books.
-you really do have a thing for books do you?/ Randall then precedes to say as he looks at you with interest
-yeah, I mean you have so many good books just laying around. Just look at this one/ you say as you point to an old brown book
-this one's a masterpiece, I used to read it all the time as a kid/ you then say as you look at him with sparkly eyes
-you used to read a book about astrology when you were a kid?/ he asks while giving you the biggest smile you've ever seen
-uhh, yeah. It's actually not as bad as you may think/ you start to laugh a little when you realise that he probably thinks you're nuts
-wow, you really are something out of this world Kara/ he also starts laughing at your foolishness
-oh anyway, here's the bed. You'll sleep there and I'm just gonna sleep right under you on the floor/ he Changes the topic and turns around towards his bed.
-are you absolutely sure? I mean the floor won't be a nice place to sleep on. Your bed looks big enough for the both of us/ you say with a concerned voice
He thinks about your offer for a while
-you're too kind, you're forgetting that I'm the one who kidnapped you. But as long as it doesn't bother you with both of us sleeping in the same bed then that's okay with me/ he says while giving you a kind glance
-oh no not at all/ you answer, starting to get a little nervous

~a little time skip~

You were laying next to each other in Randall's bed, on your backs staring up at the ceiling. You just lay there for some minutes, not caring to speak at all. Until Randall broke the silence.
-you know, I still didn't get a proper answer to my question before
You tense at his words
-what question?
-you didn't tell me your story, what's your story?
You think about your answer for a long time before you finally speak
-remember when you asked me if I was an only child?
-yeah.../ he says with an unsure voice
-I used to have a brother
Randall turns his head and looks at you, watching your empty expression and blank eyes as you continue to stare at the ceiling
-he was two years older than me, and we didn't have a father so he were always trying to find different ways to rule over me and my mother. The powers I have are genetically inherited by my mother, but my brother never got any. He built a hatred and despise towards me and my mother and one day he stabbed her out of pure hatred. I found her, bled out on the floor. (Tears were falling down your checks at this point) And when I asked him what he'd done, he said that it was all for the best, and that I was next. He stabbed me multiple times, telling me that it was my fault she was dead. I don't know how, but my powers saved me from him, I have this ability to show people their darkest fears, I can manipulate their minds and make them see things that aren't really there.
So I guess I eventually ended up torturing him to death, and he died of a heart attack from being so scared of his fears. I still remember his dying screams and how they broke my heart as I watched my brother die. I still get flashbacks and nightmares about it. And so I was left with nothing and absolutely nobody, that's when I moved here. And look where that got me/ you say with an ironic tone to your voice
-that must've been really hard for you/ he gives you a genuine look
- how many of your kind are there?/ he looks at you interested
-there's only a few left in the world, most of them has been killed because of our powers, if you manage to kill one you will automatically gain some of their powers. And those of us that are still here are being hunted every day.
-well don't worry, as long as you're with me you'll be safe/ Randall says with a sleepy voice
-night Kara /Randall turns around with his broad back facing you
-goodnight/ you say as you continue to stare at the ceiling
You have a strong feeling that tonight's gonna be a long night, and another nightmare is coming
