Stiles POV
Everything is going so well. I am about to finish my second year of school and Derek is publishing his poems. We are a successful power couple and I couldn't be any happier. Isaac is helping throw Derek a surprise party. He is always doing sweet things for me, so I figured it's my turn.
Derek POV
Stiles and I have been together for almost two years now and I feel like time is just flying by. I cannot believe where we started and where we are now ending up. I couldn't be any happier.
I am walking around the house fidgeting, cleaning, and rearranging.
I notice hands wrap around my waist.
"Babe, I got you," Stiles says smiling.
I feel a wave of comfort wash over me. I couldn't help but feel nervous. My publisher was coming by to finalize my book.
"You know all you damn Hale's are successful, so why are you worrying?" Stiles asks.
I mean he wasn't wrong. Peter has single-handedly organized and ran at least half the town's businesses if not more and well considering I was the only other Hale left I guess I was doing alright. Ever since Stiles and I have been dating Peter has been more in my life. He recently moved back to Beacon Hills and all his pack came with him. I am sure they miss France, and sometimes when Peter gets really annoying, I wish he didn't live so close but we all are adjusting. Especially Noah, who is still trying to understand pack life. Peter's pack use to be bigger but they were attacked by some hunters and lost two wolves. Three wolves remained Laura, Max, and Amanda. Max was Peter's second in command and actually made most of the decisions, kind of like Isaac for me. Laura and Amanda were sisters they were really good at combat. Laura and Jackson had taken a liking to each other which I couldn't believe because Jackson didn't like anyone. I was also pretty sure that Max and Amanda were married. Either way, our packs were always friendly to each other and we even started to do wolf workouts together.
"Yeah, I guess you are right," I say snapping out of my thoughts.
There's a knock at the door.
I answer it.
"Hey, Mr. Hale. Just stopping by to finalize the paperwork and to have a final look through your book." He says.
"Thank you so much for coming, Mr. Harris can I get you a drink?" I ask as I lead him to the living room.
"No, no I am ok. This really won't take too long just need your approval." He says sitting on the couch.
He hands me a brown envelope. I take it noticing my hands shake a bit. Stiles is there helping me open the envelope. He pulls out the book.
The book jacket is white it has a leafless black tree on the front and I flip it over and I see my headshot and the brief description on the back. I open the book; Stiles is helping me because I am shaking like a leaf. I think I am just amazed that I wrote these poems and they are about to be let out into the world. Stiles and I flip through the book, we both nod in approval. I place the book back in the envelope and set it on the coffee table. Mr. Harris instructs me to sign some papers and lets me keep the first copy of my book. He shows himself out and Stiles and I hug it out. He kisses me.
"I am so proud of you Der." He says hugging me.
"Thank you for believing in me and pushing me," I whisper in his ear.
"Speaking of pushing, let's push your sweet ass outside." He says pulling me out to the backyard.
Stiles is pulling me outside; he's made me close my eyes.
